anyone know why some series arent updated on netflix when they are out elsewhere? ie poldark s3 and s4 and peaky blinders s4

Some BBC stuff stays on the iPlayer for a while after it airs so it's not going to be on Netflix while it's on there. Sometimes it's to do with DVD releases too. They're not going to put it on Netflix if they can sell boxsets.
Then sometimes other channels have the rights to air things and they won't appear on Netflix until after they've aired on RTÉ or wherever.

Started watching it this morning based off the recommendations above. Such a delightful little show.

Only started it on Tuesday and it's very additive. Watching a few every night.

I'm only 5 episodes in, but I have to say that Farmer Bishop steals the show every time he's on screen. He's fantastic.

Pearce Quigley’s Russell is an ‘interesting’ character too!

    The Innocents.

Terrible, turned it off after 20minutes of episodes 2.

Stupid, slow and makes no sense.

    Deadwind

I binged watched it - that isn't to say it was great. It was watchable, a few plot holes along the way but if you can get over them it might pass a hour or 2 :P
    I like Nordic dramas

    The Invisible Guest

Did mention this Spanish movie a while back when it was added to Netflix but only getting around to watch it tonight, great crime thriller movie.

I got given out to for starting a new show without letting the missus know, so in the space of 2 days I've now watched the first 5 episodes of season 1 twice :o

Marseille is pretty funny.  For all the wrong reasons.

I watched the first series of that a while back and couldn't get over how dumb it was.

    Out of Thin Air

Watched this last night about a group of young men and women who are coerced into confessing for a crime they did not commit in Iceland in the 70's.

It's only 80 mins long but it flew by, a really fascinating watch with some very good production values.

Watched this & I'm not convinced at all.
I didn't think it showed they were coerced so much.

The woman Erla, spent 242 days in solitary confinement before the trial while one of the lads spent 655 days in solitary confinement. Don't know about you but that would be enough to feck me up completely.

Yea but before the trial, & when they went to trial they pled not guilty. So the confessions were before that.

I'm not saying they are or are not, I just didn't see anything that convinced me either way.

Saw this on storyville on the BBC, I'm with you, solitary for that long doesn't bear thinking about.

Watched blackfish today after my brother recommended it to me. For those that don't know it's about the killer whales at sea world. It's hard to watch at times. The trainer that died had a horrific end to her life.

Watched Aprils Fools Day and it's a cracking little movie from the 80s.

Didn't know anything about it apart from the IMDb rating.

    Well worth a watch.

Just finished Unforgotten S01 at the weekend. Very enjoyable and looking forward to S02.

A little quirk in the plot ranked me........
The cops bought the final confession without ever wondering about how he (Jimmy) got a nail through his hand.

    Was that not
something to so with him owning the money to the gangster family
and the rich business guy's involvement as a debt collector.
