My Elite works on the PS4. I wouldn't try playing a game with it but works grand for Netflix.

Didn't realise the Elite could be used with the Nest though.

I believe it works on PS4 if you have HDMI CEC on. But that creates conflicts

It sounds like you don't have a complicated Av setup, so you probably right that you didn't particularly need a Harmony remote.

I on the other hand have about a dozen devices and a dozen remotes:
    - TV, AV, Sat box, Nvidia Shield TV, Now TV, Mac Mini, PS3, PS4, Xbox

Juggling that many remotes was a pain. The Harmony remote is a life safer for complicated setups.

For instance, previously, to just "Watch TV" that involved pulling out three different remotes, pressing power on each, and then changing inputs on two. And then you would have to actively use two remotes (AV for sound, Sat box for channels).

Switch to "Shield TV", pull out another set of remotes!

It was painful. And my missus would kill me. A single harmony remote is SO much easier for us.

I agree that not everyone has such complicated setups and thus needs this. But frankly your original comment came across really silly and comments like "harmony remote fan club" certainly aren't helpful.

sorry, but perhaps your mod 'status' has your own perception of comment behaviour somewhat skewed. a complicated set up? I have a set up with a number of remotes which the harmony remote is designed to cut down on, make life simpler, more convenient, faster...all those things, it doesn't and it doesnt matter how consumed or overconsumed which you seem to be with devices.

this is not a harmony remote review thread, it is a home automation bargain thread...a user asked for feedback and i commented that it was a useless overpriced gadget, piece of rubbish...which it is.

i was then subjected to condescending muck like the following, which by the way you thanked...
You were dead right to send it back, being a 12 o'clock flasher this was always going to be too difficult
You did it wrong. It wasn't for you. Same with all the one star reviews on Amazon, people who couldn't figure it out.
No you said it took you longer to turn over to devices. You did it wrong. It wasn't for you. Same with all the one star reviews on Amazon, people who couldn't figure it out.

So, there you are...I responded in kind to your own patronising toss and the other very aptly named high horse brigade. I bought one, I set up it up correctly, it wasn't that hard to set up...I found it to be a useless piece of gadgetry unnecessary overpriced sh*t, that ok bud? less of the condescension...you have all this connected "- TV, AV, Sat box, Nvidia Shield TV, Now TV, Mac Mini, PS3, PS4, Xbox"...why in sweet jesus would you want to be connected to all that? a ps3 and a ps4 :) how much spare time do you have? maybe more of the getting outdoors?

Looks to be a newer and more compact version of the S20 ones I have at home.

Here is a teardown of the device with some people mentioning lack of fuse as a safety issue.

IDK as I'm not technically minded :)

In your link the writer says some people suspected there was no fuse from the outside but it's in there, it's just not a replaceable one.

Anyone ordered from the site before?

I just ordered 2 and I'd be tempted to order a couple more

I'm only in the door from An Post, after returning mine!

I got it on Prime Day this year, for the same price, but after spending the last 5 or so weeks trying to set it up, along with near-constant assistance and suggestions from Logitech customer support, I ran out of patience with it.

Before people start saying I hadn't it set up correctly - I'm not a computer genius (and I don't think I should have to be for a product such as this) but I have enough of a grasp to link this to that, and connect the whatcha-ma'call-it to the thingy-ma-bob or the yolkie-ma'jig.

DISCLAIMER - a bit of a rant coming, so stop reading now if you're not bothered.

    Still here? Ok:
For example, for those who are familiar with the product (and maybe those toying with the idea of getting one) all my devices were controllable individually, and correctly, by the Harmony Elite under the "Devices" tab on both the remote itself and the app.....except turning ON my PS4 - but I'm aware of that being Sonys fault, though Logitech made a bit of a hames of its implementation too, in my opinion!!

Anywho, when it came to running "Activities" things went pear-shaped, with them only running correctly a small portion of the time. I will point out that all activities I had initially set up revolved around my smart LG tv - we have it about 13 months, but I don't know how old the model itself is? (The original tv remote has dedicated Netflix and Amazon buttons, so it can't be that old, right??!) But, again, I digress: The issues I encountered all appeared to be tv related, with commands I had set up not being carried out correctly most of the time e.g. "Menu" + "Right" + "Right" + "Ok".

Messing with adding brief delays between commands, changing device power settings, rubbing my belly while patting my head etc. did nothing to remedy the problems. Even the Logitech customer support rep dealing with my issues set up a couple of trial activities remotely, but they didn't work correctly most of the time either.

So with tomorrow being the final day to return it to Amazon for a refund, I got shot of it.

I dunno? Maybe my telly is too smart.....like me?! Or not smart enough, like m.....oh, no, wait....

I'm a bit confused about what you can do with one of these that can't be done with a €20 IR/RF blaster.

Well I learned my lesson, anyway! Might give a Broadlink RM Pro or Blackbean a go instead?
