Baszler is rumoured. I don't think we'll see any though. Might be for the best, has any of this years call-ups done anything?

No Way Jose, AoP, Sanity, The Iconics? Ember and Almas are kind of middling. McIntyre should be so much more than Ziggler's muscle.

This is the problem about the Demon gimmick for Balor. If it gives him such a boost ala SummerSlam why didn’t he become the demon last night?

It was like his biggest match in 2 years!?! Just makes Finn seems dumb not using the demon.

At one stage during Summerslam, they are talking about Finn (arguing if he's an actual demon or just Finn being artistic) when Coach goes, "Well, if the Demon is so great, why doesn't Finn always come out as him?"

And there was silence for a few seconds. I'd like to think it was Vince screaming at Coach for shining a light on the plothole.

Anyway, a perfectly acceptable episode of Raw. Shield Reunion was interesting, and I presume the long term plan will now move back towards Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose.

I always thought the whole thing was that he's frightened to let it take over. Could be interesting if they ever turn him heel though.

But he wasn't scared to bring out the Demon to end a nothing feud with Corbin but wouldn't bring it out for the biggest match of this career for the past two years.

I know it's just typical poor WWE Logic when it comes to booking but still annoying.

It makes sense that WWE would reunite the shield to stop the Roman boos

Braun didn't sneak up and cash in though he's there waiting for the match to finish, he still wants the easier bout but he's doing it openly.

it was an enjoyable show, but the incessant, sad, desperate attempts to get the bloke cheered, or to try to fool the audience into getting behind him will never not annoy me on some level; simply because it shows disdain for the viewer. it is insulting, and continues to try and force me to swallow something that I don't fúcking want to swallow. i.e. Roman as a babyface.

nevermind the Braun thing at Summerslam where they fooled the crowd into being invested and not shítting on the Brock/Roman match, only to swerve everyone by taking Braun out, having Roman win suddenly, and shutting off the show before people got really angry.

just fúck off already.

Meh, I don't mind the Shield thing, cause I reckon it's a story designed to push a triple threat between the three. At this stage, probably looking towards Mania as well.

From the point of view that it removes Brock vs Roman from the slate of stories, and probably gives Rollins and Ambrose a path into the main event, I'll accept the short term "Get Roman cheered" element of the story, especially since if they want Roman to be a face, I'd much prefer this sort of thing to the "He's an underdog" nonsense....

Yeah thought that too. Only when he feels he really needs it in order to dig deep.

All they had to do on commentary is be consistent with the back story they've already given to the Demon but they couldn't even do that!

Great to see the Shield back but a wishy washy feud where they're not actually heel, just 3 men doing a job on the "monster among men" does nothing for me. Braun bores me tbh. There's a litany of guys I'd rather see Roman enter a long feud with.

Last night for The Shield they used their proper old theme, last year when they got back together they used Reigns' version

Would love to see Strowman turn heel and align with the Authors of Pain vs The Shield but sadly it will probably be with Ziggler and Mcintyre.
