HATRED ON ACCOUNT OF RACE, RELIGION, NATIONALITY OR SEXUAL ORIENTATION.
    Just of curiosity:
Traveller - is that: race, religion, nationality or sexual orientation?

I'm no legal scholar for sure but fairly certain there's no crime of hating "absolute wasters who want everything for nothing and rub the noses of those working for a living in the dirt".

There's a whole issue around should we house people in this way and ensure that people have incentives to have sustainable families. However, even putting those thorny issues aside, there's still the obvious issue did she jump the queue with what seems to have been a stunt. I think it's useful to separate these two issues. Those with left wing sympathies might want to provide her with a house, but they still have to address the issue did this lady pull a fast one to get the best out of our system.

it's a failing of social media and the need for everything to go viral and for people to be outraged about things. the media are only following social media's lead on this, i feel. if there was no online outrage this wouldn't have developed the way it did.

Nearest I got to offered drugs in school was the communion wine once a term at the assembly Mass and a week running the tuck shop where we mysteriously "sold out" of Twix...... ;);););)

Exactly wasters can be male or female, black or white, gay or straight, and whatever invisible man they believe in.

Umm, she is the one that wanted it to go viral....otherwise she would not have got a 3 bed apartment ahead of someone else.

But an obvious disconnect (as others have commented one here) is that he media seem to be very out of touch with the majority of the public mood here. I think if the general tone of the comments were reflected by the media I think she'd be expected to remain in her place in the queue.

Every single tax payer is going nuts. We need to teach the media a lesson.
Anyone up for a boycott of either a paper or radio station? Either refrain from buying or listening and change to anothter. The loss of readers/listeners will soon have an effect on the amount of money advertises would pay them?

All of the current politicians and journalists are running the narrative of poor people need to be helped and it's up to taxpayers to fund it. That would be fine except all of us see examples of those who live way beyond their means every day but are taxpayer funded.

There is a housing problem but priority is given to those who have never worked but crucially never want to work. Plenty of taxpayers falling into the lack of housing trap. But they are entitled to nothing.

Disabilities (unable to work), low income taxpayers, taxpayers, wasters (never want to work) should be catered for in that order. We have to look after those who don't want to work but shouldn't be funding their lifestyle.

My brother in law and his wife would each be better off on the dole but choose to work. They live in a caravan on his dad's site and are entitled to nothing as they are taxpayers (not much mind you). Something very wrong with this scenario when you look at Margaret Cash and those like her.

if you spent most of your time on twitter you'd be of the complete opposite impression (on the public mood). the loudest are not always representative of the majority.

Can anyone explain this bollocks from that Flynn fool ?

At most I think he is giving out that the Gov/DCC doesnt provide direct funding instead of this "pay off what they paid", which works better as then theres no BS or embezzlement of the money (money is paid purely for rent rather than whatever admin fees ICHH draws up).

Now show where the hatred of her is based on the above ?

Hint - don't waste your time as it's not. It's based on her wanting everyone to fund her 4,500 a year tax free income, which will no doubt increase, while she and her moronic cheerleaders insult us.

What has this got to do with ms cash? No one is hating on her because she’s from the traveling community, well I’m certainly not anyway, but I AM hating on her for taking the absolute piss out of the system, the same system I directly fund. I’ve had enough and the majority of people who work have had enough, regardless of what the media spout.

I feel sorry for the girl, and people should be aiming their anger at the government and its policies rather than this populist rhetoric about "scroungers". Would people prefer to pass her and her kids on the street and throw them a few euro's, happy to go home to your (unsuitable) two bed apartment that you saved your life for.

The housing system is completely unfair, access to housing should be less about income and more about equality.

She was fond of expressing what 'there should be a limit' on. She didn't fancy putting a limit on the number of children she produced without a means to provide accommodation for them.

Imagine being the neighbours that have to live beside her. You're out breaking your boll*cks every day while she sits on her useless ass all day watching tv and smoking cigs. What a Country.

Take a picture of your family sleeping in cardboard boxes, wearing rags etc. somewhere near Dalkey village, claiming that this is your family area and you want to be housed nearby.

I can see why people might feel upset by this but I have to say I am happy for them. A garda station or a hotel is no place for 7 kids. 3 bed apartment is nice but surely they could have provided a house with a back garden for the kids. Anyway what she has been given is better than her current situation. Sometimes this country shows compassion from time to time.

It's all about the children now. Everything should be done to make sure they get the best possible upbringing, stay in school, are encouraged to take up hobbies/sports/activities to keep them out of trouble, promote further skills/education as they get older.

The woman's past, the absurdity of being having 7 kids and no income, possible queue skipping etc. etc. is all noise in Comparison to the absolute requirement to give these 7 kids the best possible upbringing so their lives are very different to their mother's.

That same "equality" she's just p***ed all over by going to the media and jumping the queue ?

    Give it a rest please.
