To be fair, we know nothing about the Father or fathers. He/they could be providing child support or providing in other ways. Or Cash mightn't even know who the fathers are. Or that she hasn't allowed them any involvement in the lives of their children.

I haven't seen anything on this thread that gives any real detail on the father/fathers.

The father is in the communion pictures

Before she privatised her facebook page it was clear for everyone to see who the father was, his name, photos etc etc. He's doing porridge I think.

    The expensive communion at that.

The bit in bold made me laugh. You obviously wont be working anywhere near 54 years before a state pension so that's a very easy statement to make.

You know nothing about my personal circumstances or work history. Don't let that stop you though.
You then go on about entitled. How about we cut your pension by 20 percent to level the playing field? You will find this unpalatable because you feel ENTITLED to the full pension. The bottom line is that everyone feels entitled to something. It's easy to label someone as entitled. Yet we all feel entitled to some degree

You spoke about everyone being entitled to the State Pension. edit: Sorry. Everyone who has paid similar tax to yourself.

I think this may be a turning point. We are back at boom time economic performance and a lot of people like myself have fcuk all excerpt a 50% tax rate and rent/mortgage they can’t afford. When you see a stunt like this backfire it pisses off tax payers.

It was a stunt. I said this at the start of the thread & I knew it would backfire BUT at the end of the day she IS homeless. She didn't lie about that She lied & tried to cheat her way higher on the list but she is officially homeless & will be housed

She'll be housed alright, but not in the 6 bed mansion that she craves.

Did anyone tell her Michael Flatley is selling his house in Fermoy?

Although that is probably too small for her

There are people who are unable to care for themselves. This woman is one. She seems to lack the social skills necessary to rear her family without help. I would imagine that she also lacks the ability to understand the benefits of contraception.
What to do about it? I really don’t know. She will have her peers and some with vested interests telling her that she’s not doing anything wrong. That she’s entitled to a large house. Fully furnished, etc. This galls with those of us who work for our living and live within our means.
She needs education for herself, to start with. No matter what, she’s going to need support for the rest of her life.

She's not homeless. She has the means through SW to pay for housing herself.

I think the fact her welfare is so high she exceeds the limits for council housing.

    Remember this last year?

No I don't know your personal details nor do I want to but your sweeping statement about it doesn't matter how long you work can only come from someone who WONT have to work 54 years before a pension. It's so easy to make comments like that when you don't have to put in over half a century

You spoke about everyone being entitled to the State Pension.

I speak about everyone being / feeling entitled in this country. Obviously some feel more entitled than others.

There's not a single person commenting on boards that refuses children allowance, sick pay, pension etc because they feel that they are entitled. Everyone feels entitled

The entitlement of some people is shocking, someone should remove the silver spoon from her mouth and get her involved in the world most of us inhabit - working most of the week, rent/mortgages, bills.

A jobless couple... felt they were being "discriminated against" for having an eighth child.

And don't forget that's into her hand! You would need to be grossing over 80k to bring that in each week.

What value can be put on the medical cards for her and the 7 kids on top?

They ALWAYS use the kids as props. It's sickening.

Between this one and people deliberately not paying their mortgage.

There really is some selfish nasty people in this country.

Right so here's what we'll do, we'll ship Michael D out of the Aras and back to Galway and move Maggie and her childers in there, will that place be big enough in the right location? :pac:

They felt discriminated for having eighth child.

Every time I see deductions on my pay slip I can think of all this poor families. That's so comforting...

Feel sorry for the kids though. Not for the parents.

I was raised in family with 4 kids and lived in 2 bedrooms apartment for long time. Was pretty normal back then and we all survived. It was tight, but my parents worked hard to meet all needs and gave us an example of how to live our lives without expecting the others to give you anything for free.

What kind of examples are those people giving to the kids?

We will support them until we retire.

    Agreed.

But something about vulture funds and land league or something.

I don't speak fluid "waster defender" but i guess that's close.

You're joking right? About turning the tide? The criticism levelled at Margaret Cash was described as unfair and unwarranted a few minutes back on Bobby Kerr's NT show.

'We have a responsibility to look after those who cannot look after themselves', was the reply.
No mention however of Margaret Cash or her husband/partner having the need to be responsible.

Newstalk are unbelievable . They wheeled Fergus Finlay from Barnados out yesterday on the Last Shoulder . I used to like him and listen to him but the lack of research in the particular case and the biased opinions of all the media is sickening . They lambast everyone who has dared to have a different opinion on this case. We “wouldn’t say this to her face” Fergus Finlay says and he is appalled and shocked by the reaction online .

Well actually Fergus you are 100% wrong. I would have NO problem at all saying what I think to Margaret Cash in person . The lack of responsibility , the sense of entitlement, the obvious disposable income she has, the bragging about what she spends her money on is truly sickening . I cannot believe the biased one sided opinion and dialogue on all media outlets on this.

WE the great unwashed tax payers are all in the wrong here. For seeing that the emperor is wearing no clothes, for voicing an opinion , for seeing this for what it actually is !!!

I have admired PeterMcVerry and gave the water rebate money etc to his charity, but more recently I believe he has breached the line of being reasonable with his ultra leftist thinking. His idea of making it illegal, to “make people homeless”, ie sell your own apartment/house which you have let (and paid mortgage for etc) as an investment to fund your old age expenses, and more in that vein, would, if implemented, see the small time landlord pull out fast, and the vultures would swoop in to fill the void in that market. Great idea, Peter.
