Well, lets just send him off to the knacker yard altogether. Put him out of his misery.

Jesus Christ. He is about 20 years old. He wrongfully pushed a ref out of frustration. He'll get his suspension, serve it, hopefully learn, and move on as a more mature footballer.

once a liability always a liability. A leopard doesn't change his spots.

Will you ever f*ck off. You could do with changing your trolling spots yourself. It's getting boring

Popping up on every County thread with provocative posts merely designed to derail the thread

I am entitled to give my opinion on the incident. If you don't like my response why bother posting if you want to resort to name calling.

I think he was justified in this case.

Definitely. And will be back in the Mayo jersey soon all going well. A great young lad.

    Justified

There was absolutely no justification for what he did, and I imagine it will be quite some time before any county manager takes a chance on him again with the temperament he displayed.

"Name calling" (or calling it as it is) an anonymous Internet user is a lot less harsh than blackening the name of a young footballer who is exposed to the public by name who knows himself like everyone he f*cked up in the incident and damning when he is down.

    Don't feel sorry for yourself.

You find it hard to accept that the mayo player lost his temper and had a moment of madness and with that cost Mayo another All Ireland. what a real shame but that's life.

I am a Kildare man with Mayo family! Trust me, no disrespect to the guy, the meltdown was a blessing on my watch given the circumstances, but on a personal level I have empathy for the lad and wouldn't be damning him to a future in exile like you at 20 years of age.

He has learnt a serious lesson at a high cost and hopefully he will realise he has to address that (I don't know if he has history) and is given a second chance. He was a star in a team that reached an All Ireland final so has done enough for forgiveness. And indeed there is a lot that people should be proud of his representing of his County this Summer.

Ignorant people just can't level their heads and look at the bigger picture here. TBH, I doubt you even believe the things you are posting here yourself, you are just looking for a reaction

Give him his ban, a Category 5 one, and put the ball in his court then and let him earn a second go at county football. I anticipate that is exactly what the Mayo football people would do

anyway back on topic. Mayo are going to struggle to win All Ireland's if their good players are getting sent off in crucial stages of finals. we can go all the way back to 1996 with McHale doing this. Discipline a key thing with some players in the green and red Jersey. Take what you want from that Talking Breadman.

That poster should just be ignored. They are ignored now in another sporting forum on the odd occasion that they post. Doesn't respond well or listen to anything that goes against the narrative that they are spouting.

I don't know why anyone would even reply to them.

So enough of that and back to more important matters such as this Saturdays match......will Galway beat Mayo?

Well they're going to have to reverse the tight loss in the Connacht final minus the mutineers!:)

Managed to catch the semi final today. It's weird, with Mayo not being there, I managed to actually enjoy watching Dublin play. I know we have our history with them, but they're a terrific team. They make everything look so easy and yet they're real fighters. That Costello point after the two block downs summed up their attitude to me -never stop trying to find a way, show patience and the score will come.

And if I may say so, this proves how hard we've been fighting the last number of years. Obviously the final hasn't happened yet, but I really think we're the only team that are in any way a match for them. We've been pushing and pushing them every year with more or less the same squad while they've been constantly evolving and widening their squad. Dublin are great but so are we. 😊

    Absolutely
And I hope the Galway thread is not overrun with absolute idiots like this thread is whenever we lose the last game of our summer which for. 7 years was late August , September or even October
    Can't understand that mindset
The championship more or less ends for me when Mayo go out

I certainly don't hang around my keyboard for months to go typing anonymius ****e on another forum

We will be there or thereabouts next year
Break might be the best thing ever for the team and in particular Rochford

    Why's that?

He will have time to properly assess club players and have a full winter training programme with the panel

    Isn't winter training banned?

Well if you haven't seen the improvement in Clarke's game then it's hard to respect your opinion. He has had to revolutionise his game i.e kick-outs

Don't get me wrong, I rate Clarke very highly - up there as the best in the country. But his kickouts have been an issue for a couple of seasons now and there does not appear to have been any improvements in this area. In fact, I would go as far to say that if he could solve this that he would finally be regarded as the best in the game as it is the only glaring weakness in his game.

That makes no sense at all. A keeper with dodgy kickouts and you’d rate him as one of the best? Aside from keeping the ball out of the net kick outs are pretty much their main responsibility

Three very ordinary teams in the semi-finals over the weekend. Mayo still the only team who can put it up to the Dubs, if we could only have made it past Kildare.:P

Anyway looks like we could be back winning matches;) again next year.

Yeah I heard those rumour's over the weekend too. Apparently there is a group of people outside the country that are willing to fund a big name.

Does anybody here think that McGuinness would actually get us over the line? When you think of what he achieved with Donegal and how he achieved it I'm not convinced! But interested to hear other peoples thoughts.

One thing is for sure, who ever is putting this stuff out to the papers obviously wants Rochford out.

If McGuinness had the time and was available why would he manage any team other than Donegal?
