How do you get Tesco money-off coupons anyway?
I've checked my contact preferences and I've allowed them to contact me by post, still nada :(

tescos ones would not register as "competitor coupons" on the receipt. I know someone who got several tesco ones for shops of 130 or 140. All I got in the post was ones for tesco meat products.

Occasionally they scan the coupon as a competitor coupon if it's not scanning in my local.

I think some times tesco tend to send out coupons with say for example €15 off €80 to non regular shoppers (but still club card holders) in a bid to entice them to shop; so could also be the case for supervalu

They do at times yes. Depends what you have spent in the past on the voucher you get. Some might get X off €50 spend, while your neighbour has to spend €80. Luck of the draw

I think they are more likely to send them out to people who give them the highest margins, these are the ideal customers for them.

I got a fair few a year or so ago for money off spends of 40 euro, maybe a little less. I know they would have made little or no money off what I bought so might figure its not worth giving me any more. When I turn up with lidl vouchers it would be sometimes cheaper for them to hand me a tenner and tell me to feck off, as I often stock up on below cost spirits since they are easy to carry, easy to store and have no best before dates.

My brother gets them the odd time. I think he got €12 off €50 a few weeks ago and he rarely goes to Tesco. When my mother cut down on her Tesco shop a few years ago they sent them to her to!

I think using your clubcard is the killer. I shop regularly at the store, since then I have not had a voucher in over a year.

Do they accept the super valu text messages for 6 off 30 spend?

I think it has to be a actual paper voucher, unlikely they'll accept a text message.

No, I asked in store and it has to be the paper voucher.

The staff in tesco seem to have to keep the vouchers, probably for proof for accounts.

I will probably be shot for this question but here goes........ do Tesco accept the Dunnes till spit vouchers ie €5 off a €25 shop? I've no doubt this has been asked before but I don't have the time to sift through all questions and answers so my apologies if this annoys anyone.......

I have done this in the past with complete success, although I've always printed in colour.

It's purely diabolical to get the paper scanned, tear the coupon out and handle to the cashier...

I was in my local Tesco today and the cashier refused a competitor shop and save coupon from the customer in front of me.

She said they stopped accepting them on Tuesday.

Had a look online and looks like it’s finally ended!

    Competitor coupons

Given the exceptionally low prices available in store and online, ‘spend and save’ coupons from other supermarkets will no longer be accepted. To find out more about our latest offers or shop online.

It’s not a bargain alert now so best closed and let it rest in peace
