Ok folks does everybody remember all the many many callers about the tax dodging doctor from a few weeks ago.

Hes in the news again today, Finian McGrath (minister of state!) has been lobbying for him and visited him down in Loughan House Open Prison

    https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/minister-defends-lobbying-for-release-of-doctor-jailed-for-not-paying-tax-1.3575442

    Select highlights from the IT.
He failed to pay 100k in income tax
    • He owes 200k in fines and penalties.
    • He had a hidden bank account into which he lodged 1,686 cheques received from patients attending his clinic.
    • He is very remorseful. :pac:

The poor tax dodging doctor being discussed now on Morning Ireland and Finian, 'I just had a word with Charlie' McGrath.

It’s GUBU. Another great example of how backward some people are in this country. If McGrath was my TD he’d be getting both barrels (metaphorically so to speak) on this. Parish pump BS and Duffy-logic at its finest. An ill-informed vocal minority (I suspect) shouts loudly about an issue and local TD sees an angle that he thinks can increase his profile/vote and jumps on it. Shameless.

Was listening earlier, a step by step guide on how to lobby the Minister of the day.

Simple really mention it casually a few times when you meet him on the corrydoors of power before going for the jugular and sitting down with D'Minster for a good old chinwag.

Did you hear the earlier interview with Don the widower of the lady who died RIP in an accident on the road at the Gap in Co. Kerry.

If you didn't it was classic 'Take me back and tell me more' fare. I had to switch off.

Fateen to attempt to close Ryanair by 3.

€5k for a house rent in Dubalin. There’s more than 1 house for rent for €10k per month if the researchers could only figure out how to use daft sez I.

R Kelly's 'I believe I can fly' would have been more apt.

Remember a joke at National school which I shall regale yiz all wid whoile ye's are waiting for the big picture sotospeak.

Baby Jesus was settled in his swaddling clothes and had just gone asleep in his manger in Bethlehem, when a noisy airoplane flys overhead.

Mary says to Joseph her husband.

'Who's dat c**t moonlighting overhead, he will wake our child from his slumber and disturb the animals'

Joseph hadn't a clue, but one of the Wise men reckoned it was Phronsias Pilot the well known spice smuggler.
