Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah stop @muddypaws. You don't have both do you? They're only gorgeous... you don't need a babysitter do you? 😉

Hopefully that picture has attached ok,I'm not sure how to embed the picture into a comment.

This is my Cavalier King Charles called Cookie.

We got him as a rescue when he was 6 months old. He was got to help me out of a depression after my dad passed away and he is the apple of my eye :)

Lol Bran, the black fella came out of Carlow Kilkenny pound last May and unfortunately is incredibly dog reactive outside of the house, he's petrified of most of the world, hence the long line on him as he has scaled a 7 foot wall twice to go and attack passing dogs. Diefer, the flecked pup is now 7 months old and already has a record for theft, so if you want to babysit, don't bring anything you value ;)

Lol. I'm down a pair of flip flops, 2 pairs of slippers and a remote control with the current foster. After the first few times I fostered I no longer own anything valuable within doggy reach...

Poor Bran. Still no luck improving things?

Not mine, just babysitting. Love this one, we are having a very chilled morning, she's snoozing, I'm watching dressage on YouTube, what more could you want! :)

Lol. Diefer likes to remove anything he can drag out into the garden, that includes dog beds, chair cushions - the bit you sit on, no matter how big. Last week he trotted proudly back into the house with the bread knife in his mouth, taunting the other dogs, thankfully none.of them took him up on his offer to play tug.

There is slight improvement with Bran, he had a nice walk on a beach in Donegal last week with a female ridgeback, in and out of the van a few times that day for toilet breaks, seeing other dogs and he didn't react. He plays lots with Diefer so I don't know if that's releasing something for him. He's not throwing himself at doors at the moment when a dog barks in the distance and can even be outside when that happens and ignores it sometimes. The poor boy is so traumatised, something very bad happened to him. If I raise my voice for any reason, he runs to a corner and literally puts his arm up to protect himself, front leg up over his head :(

She's about 9 or 10 months I think. They do indeed, and bike and paddle. She's still only doing small amounts as she is such a baby, but learning about how to be a trail dog most weekends!

It's rare I get to mind her as she is usually out and about adventuring :)

Point them in the direction of Canicross Ireland, there is a FB group, running and bikejore, pointers usually love it and are very good at it

I don't want to drag this off the pic topic so I'll stop after this, but I really feel for anyone with a reactive dog. I had a gsd that I babysat for a short time and i just felt terrible for him, and everyone else he terrified by making such a fuss. It broke my heart that I couldnt do anything for him- he was such a fab dog when i took him out by himself on the farm.

There was a sale on kid's paddling pools in Toys R Us over the weekend so thought I'd pick up a small one for a tenner for Bear to lay down in to cool off in the good weather. Lasted 2 minutes! It was also bigger than it looked, I swear :pac: Good job we've a gardener coming this week too!

Awh stop, he's a brat!:D It's the one bed guests can use as he's slept on the other doubles...sure he has one to himself all day!! I only had the door open to let air through the house and I turned my back for 30 seconds :D

On a side note he's been a bit off lately so think a trip to the vet is needed. He's been limping, mainly on his left paw, on and off when he's playing. I'm wondering if it's because the ground is harder without the rain etc and he's hurting it when he lands after jumping. He is licking it a bit though and he growled at the OH this evening when he touched it.

    The Adventures of Tintin:
Closing down on the big 17th birthday, less than 2 months now. The Tintin is in super form. He was not eating well and I was worried is was losing weight, he has chronic renal failure as well as chronic heart failure. Changed the diet with his medications and its like he 's 12 again. Being naughty on his walks, which is great to see. If he is unwell he walks straight behind me.
We went camping and he had a great time on campsite, mooching around. We got a super strong fan, so when he gets too hot he jumps into his bed beside the fan and cools down straight away.

    Long live the Tinny!!!!!

When I scrolled quickly past the first picture I thought she was a guinea pig. I went back after I saw the others to check. :o

    She's so cute!

    Lhasas FTW!
The cream one Tiffi is a lhasa, Sybil is a Tibetan terrier like her big brother Oliver.
Weirdly she looks more like Tiffi as a puppy, but she's only 8.5weeks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,868 ✭✭✭CrowdedHouse

We often thought about a Tibetan too, all the best with her.

They are a bit mad, well no, the lhasa is a bit mad, but fun, the TT is a lot mad, more stubborn, more cheeky and just as much, if not more fun.

Oh and the Tibetan belly doesn't get as wet and dirty on walksðŸ˜
