I'd love chong to rip it up and have a stormer of a pre season and turn into a wonderkid ha the excitement it would generate :) I'd settle for him doing a mctominay tho and just been integrated.

Something about him that I have never warmed to when watching him for the youths. He looks good for the youths but I'm not seeing the difference in him that would have him making the required step up at senior level.

Luke flying, there might be hope yet...

Fair play to him, assuming that is true. Still, unless he has had a brain transplant (with a copy of Jose's brain) I don't think it will be enough to change Jose's mind.

Inter want Federico Chiesa and could be open to selling Perisic to fund a transfer... Football Italia.

I wouldn't think there would be much of a push based on KMcK, to be honest. I don't see it as someone coming in and bringing the kids with him as a display of power - so the only chance the players have of being called in is if they impress Jose.

The kids are going on tour because DDG, Jones, Lindelof, Rojo, Young, Matic, Pogba, Fellaini, Lingard, Rashford and Lukaku (and currently Sanchez) are not. I don't see KMcK being promoted as the reason to look at for the kids going on tour.

Maybe it's the romantic in me that wants it. Love our players coming through the ranks to senior squad.

Only reason I mentioned McKenna coming up and possible affect is that José clearly wants to give young players a chance to just throw it in the face of players who doubt his ability to bring the youth players into senior football. I think his defiance and approach with McTominay highlighted this.

If he is still on this crusade and looking for another young player to break into the fold who better to have than McKenna beside you.

I'd be more focused on the possible effect of the senior players, to be honest.

Apparently the training methods and football of the U18 side was what impressed people last season, and what going McKenna the promotion. I would assume the intention is that he will bring that forward to the senior side.

As for the young players, it can't hurt. If we are short on players in the senior side, Jose has someone who knows which players could be ready right beside him. I just don't think it will be a case of McKenna bringing them with him.

€70 million plus Darmian for Perisic. To think United wouldn't pay half that before.

I would be very surprised if we paid that for him. He is hit and miss as well.

I still wouldn't class perisic up there but he looked so good on the right in the world cup he would have to be better then what we have.

So which guy are we gonna play on the left if we sign Perisic? Martial? Rashford? Sanchez? Perisic?

    SIGN A RIGHT SIDED PLAYER!!!!

Agree with you Mitch but say if bale aint available there are very few proven right sided players out there that we could look at.

Perisic looked excellent on the right all world cup and he is extremely two footed so if it was a case of going for him or going for a kid or something i think id pick him.

Did he? He was on the left when I was watching. Didn't pay that much attention, but I'm sure he was left anytime I was watching.

Can't find anything online showing his average position.

    Lukaku
    Sanchez
    Perisic

If they were fluid and able to constantly be changing with each other (without crowding each other), it could work.

70m and a player we were trying to flog for 15m seems a steep increase from what we were rejecting to pay last year though.

Perisic is left sided, we dont need him

There has to be a right sided player out there that is an improvement on what is currently at the club.

I wouldnt mind seeing someone like Callejon from Napoli joining.Hes no superstar but a very good player,iv been impressed with him over the last few seasons.
Hes 31 now but would be an upgrade on whats available and maybe in a seson or 2 Chong is ready to make the step up.IIRC he has a low buy out clause and might be looking for a move now that Sarri has left the club.

Is that a 4-3-2-1 formation you are going for???

    :)

Highlighted what I think is our issue.

It seems as if there's superstars, but on the left side.

So we're stuck between either off-position superstars, or "very good" level right wingers, when we're looking to win the league :/

Rebic was playing on the left, Perisic had a free role though, he was out left and up top and behind the striker too.. he has plenty of freedom in the Croatia team

Looks like Pool have sorted out their goalkeeper, not that I rate Allisson world class or anything but he's a hell of a lot better than what they have, they're having a very good window so far.

We better get a ****ing move on with transfers

He'll no doubt end up being another success for them,as most of Klopps signings have been. Mane,Salah,VVD,Robetson etc etc.

Where's our transfer dealings with the dinosaur we've got in charge have been largely more miss than hit. Lindelof,Mkhitaryan,Sanchez,Pogba all very disappointing purchases.

Since 2013 the club has spent over £600 million and only twice out of the five seasons finished in the top 4. It's just laughable.

He spent most of his time on the right in the final anyway for sure but as u say we have plenty to play left it's similar to Sanchez he was never going to improve the way we play if he wasn't been signed to play right.

How do you rate a successful signing? Is it not a player that helps you win things? Because last time I checked none of klopps signings won anything in that club they might look good but they haven't been playing good enough to win anything for them yet!

Talking about dinosaurs and all is a great way to get your point across should be expected I suppose.

Played majority of world cup on the left and majority of final on left
