I've been reading more about Myanmar in the news recently and just can't believe she was viewed as a sort of Mandela knowing now that she is just a shlte person.

Who else has been lauded before showing their true colours?

She’s the same person, neither a saint nor evil.

How she’s viewed and which facts/storytelling are selected to present her to the public in very different lights just depends on the political agenda of those who are writing the stories and their current mood.

Same as Erdogan who used to be described as a lovely enlightened “progressive Islamist” when the agenda was to convince Europeans that Turkey should join the EU and is described as a ruthless dictator nowadays. Same guy, different agenda when looking at him.

Id rather not get into a discussion on defending ethnic cleansing, particularly one that some people are going to support just cause it's against muslims. I don't want anything to do with that kind of ****ed up thinking

Trying to turd polish horrific violence towards civilians really doesn’t lend credibility when you then turn around and try to lecture others on Islamic extremism.

If the Bangladeshi men would leave the Burmese women and children alone I am sure it will be fine. It is very hard to upset a buddhist (I know enough of them) but when you mess with their women and children you better be ready to reap the whirlwind.

News flash: When a civilian picks up a rifle/bomb then you are a paramilitary

Him and Russel Brand had a prank call gimmic on radio. They called ' Manuel' from Faulty towers and took it way too far

Johnathan Ross presents a really good magic series with Penn and Teller that's up on Netflix. He's still one of the top chat show hosts in the UK, reckon only Graham Norton is in more high demand.

Like him or not he's still very much a household name.

    You certainly don't.

    Ethnic cleansing is wrong.

I am sure the old Islamic tradition of meddling with the women and children came first. Not like it hasnt happened on a mass scale like before

    Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle.

A star of early cinema. He was falsely accused of being responsible for the death of a young actress at a party, despite exoneration his career never recovered.
    A tragic story really.

Ah Brand. Another Middle Class "Socialist" man of the people. Excoriating the rampant capitalists whilst having his t-Shirts that sell for £30 being made in Bangladesh for pennies.

    A pure cnut.

She's hung around-I know she was in Charlie Sheens show, and My name is Earl...

But yeah, I remember even as a kid noticing there was a weird change in her show--and not knowing why.
    Years later I found out.

    Shame, her standup wasn't bad.

    Charlie Sheens

Thats another name. From a great heritage with roles thrown at him, Platoon, Hot shots Wall Street, Red Dawn, Young Guns.... the list is endless. Now sucked dry from being black mailed and sick with an infection, coke habit and a regular at Heidi Fleiss house.......Never had someone had so much and fall from such a height

need a bit of balance there.
Nelson Mandela was sentenced for organising 23 car bombs, When he was in power he sold south african gold reserves at an all time low. Since then South Africa has reverted from nuclear energy back to coal, education standards have plummeted. ie South Africa is going down the pan for the last 20 odd years.

Aung Suu Kyi how ever is defending here people from muslim insurgent. Big difference.

Your points on Mandela are valid and indeed one could go much further, however your point on Myanmar is nonsense - the response of Suu Kyi to attacks by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army have been disproportionate and utterly over the top which has led to a huge number of casualties among innocent Rohingya, indeed her 'defense' and yours smacks of the same type of rubbish spouted by Netanyahu as his troops slaughter innocent people in Palestine.

Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua has betrayed the people who fought along side him and those they fought for against Samoza.

    Ah yeah, remember that now.

It's amazing how different the culture is over here.

Somebody like Howard Stern made his career off insulting celebrities and making prank phone calls.

In Britain or Ireland he wouldn't have lasted one week on national radio.
