I have to ask, why do you always cook separate (delicious sounding) meals for everyone? I don't have the patience

I really enjoy it Mystery. On days where we all fancy something different, if the ingredients are there, I'll do it. Last night was easy. Had beef and gravy left over from Sunday. Poached eggs in the pot while my steak was on the pan. Beef heated up in a bowl of hot water. Chips and onion rings in the fryer. Start to finish took half an hour in total.

In my younger years, I worked in restaurant kitchens and have a few chef friends. You pick up the tricks and its really just about organisation. Wouldn't do it every day though.

I have cooked for a living too and as you say , about organisation. Once worked at a private old folks home in the UK, and they all wanted something different for breakfast.. The usual chef, a professional, . used to take hours to sort and clear. One day when I was on duty, the owners arrived to find the kitchen clear and had a panic attack, thinking I had not started breakfast.. Was all done, eaten, cleared..

Little G had sausages and mash in her aunties. I cooked absolutely nothing tonight. I had a heavy workload, despite being at home. I did roast some chicken fillets with a plan to make up some great chicken and sweetcorn in mayo tomorrow. But upon returning from the England/Columbia match I was informed the cat had got up on the kitchen counter and clawed through the clingfilm and ruined the chicken. Fooking bitch. Punishment to follow. It was a Tuesday night takeaway from the local Chinese.

My restaurant was so bad tonight. The cat will die a slow death.:D

Baked trout, mashed sweet potatoes and roast tomatoes, peppers and onions. Followed by a slice of pepperoni pizza and a few curly fries. I find in this heat I am not too bothered with lunch but extra hungry then at dinner time.

Not particularly hungry today - possibly the heat. Three fried eggs as sandwiches.

Come on K. Tell the truth. You had a Supermacs and a Chinese before the fruit. Or you lashed up a fish and chips at home. :D

I brought Mrs G. out for a drink. Once a week or forthnight at best these days due to her health. Went mad for a second night as she joined me for a late night Asian/Thai. Sit down too!

Krabi Thai to anyone who knows my part of the world.:D

I have to admit, we really enjoyed it. The outside looks like a feckin convent, but once you're in the door, it's all good. Empty tonight, but the Thai Green Chicken Curry was lovely. Chips and rice like a good oul Paddy.:D Free icecream too! Pay it a visit.

Can't sleep. Made some late night udon noodles with veges, Tesco teriyaki mackerel and some White Mausu peanut sauce.

It took all of 5 minutes.

Porridge oats, strawberries, raspberries and dates soaked in raspberry yoghurt over night. Only tried this recently and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is.
