Aids, drugs, rampant promiscuity, suicide. And now the rise of militant transgenderism.

Homosexuals on average die much younger than their heterosexual counterparts.

You can argue whether its 5 years or 20 years but they do die younger.

Somehow I don't think I would be welcome at of one these "Pride" rallies.

I've had gays threaten me with violence in past because I opposed gay "marriage".

Yet at the same time these people will accuse other people of being "intolerant".

I would say as long as you aren't spouting rubbish from the Bible they wouldn't give a damn.

Can you give us some background? What did you say to them?
I have been slashed in the face with a Stanley knife after being called a f#ggot, while simply walking down the street minding my own business with my partner not so much as holding hands, so a little more than being threatened.

Also no need for the quotation marks around marriage, gay people have the same rights when they get married in spite of your beliefs... So tbh you can like it or lump it.

Wtf are the dangers of militant transgenderism?
Breaking acrylic nails while using rifles?

My opposition to gay "marriage" has nothing what soever to do with religion.

Sorry to hear you were attacked even "homophobes" such as my self don't endorse violence.

When I campaigned against the gay "marriage" referendum I received death threats from gay activists.

    Just good, old-fashioned bigotry.

Between that and the racism, do you have any nice opinions at all, Dr Brown?

Can I ask what your opposition is then if you don't mind?

I appreciate that, I wouldn't suggest anyone is a homophobe without knowing them or seeing their actions or words.

That is pretty horrible I am sorry to hear that, it was obviously a very divisive and passionate topic for a lot of people.

I support the traditional family a child were possible should have a mother and a father.

Also I don't want to pay higher taxes to support gay "marriage".

Another elephant in the room that nobody talked about during the referendum is the fact that gay couples are statistically more likely to abuse children.

Yet people like me are called "bigots" because we are against child abuse.

So what if gay people do or don't die earlier than straight people? Is this some stick to beat them with?

Unfortunately we can't pick and choose where our taxes are spent. I don't agree with religions getting massive tax breaks, or the iona institute being a 'charity'.

So you say gay couples 'statistically' more likely to abuse.... So can you show some stats to back that up? Rather than just linking to a story about one incident.

Nowhere in that article does it state that gay couples are statistically more likely to be involved in child abuse.

    Yes, you are bigoted.

The story linked to is.... 13 years old.... And from a really clearly biased American source 'lifesite'. Also most of the data is from 1997.... Lol

So I would take it with a pinch of salt....actually no salt... I am trying to outlive some straight people...

Sure, but seeing as its not a chosen lifestyle, what is your point then?

And gmisk yes the article he linked was biased but there are real studies that show gay people do die earlier on average, the main contributors being HIV and suicide, but again, don't see how its relevant really, especially as 'gay lifestyle' is not chosen

I am in a committed monogamous relationship and practice safe sex, and am mentally happy and stable, theres nothing related to my sexuality than will mean I die any earlier than the average straight person

Well I'd rather be a "bigot" than support child abuse.

    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kids-of-gay-parents-fare-worse-study-finds-but-draws-fire-from-experts/
The survey results were measured by a set of 40 outcomes on social, emotional and relationship factors. Outcomes included whether a child had grown up to need public assistance like welfare, were more likely to have anxiety or depression, were more likely to be abused, or were more apt engage in unhealthier habits such as having more sexual partners, smoking or using drugs

Reading comprehension is not your strong point.

That was one of the criteria checked in that study, not the findings.

As the study is behind a paywall, I can't tell those.

Maybe you could purchase it, and let us all read it.

At the beginning of the thread, you'd be all like 'do we even need things like Pride anymore?' and then by the end of it you're going 'Jeez, I guess we do...'
