    I'm 110% sure that's unpossible.

Reminded me of this... (was on Sky last night)

There is the young, the genuinely sick, and the aged.

    Everyone else is the wuuurkers.

Or they bloody well ought to be.

    A pathetic effort.
Can a mod please put this thread out of its misery?

    Sorry everyone.
I just bought my first blue suit and a lovely pair of pointy brown shoes and I feel a bit light headed.

Personally I just have very little in common with most middle class people I've met over the years. I work in a profession with mostly middle class women.

From listening to some of their their conversations most of them are on a completely different planet to what I grew up with and experienced in life as a fella from a very working class estate in Limerick.

Give me old money or no money anyday

They are comfortable in their skin

The middle in Ireland especially Dublin are only a generation away from chasing pigs around a field and they know it

Desperately insecure and that resonates itself in snobbery

    Epic fail, Big Man.

I’d try and back out of this if I were you.

Bribe a Mod or stuff to have the thread closed.

Can of anti-dandruff shampoo could sort it for you.

Or a subscription to ‘Steam trains of the 50s’

    That’s what they like.

Good post. I like your style.

Yeh, like a good sour input with a garnishing of bitterness and bile now and again.

Does you good I find, kinda... cleans you out ...like... the solid smaaaaack of a Clarke’s loafer into a dangling nutsack...thwaaaaap....great sound.

Who would pay tax without them?

If there is one thing about the middle classes that gets on my nerves, and is a good way to identify a middle class person cause they all do it - its their propensity to OTT on idioms. For e.g. they are in a bar and order a beer, sip it and say 'that's just what the doctor ordered'. Like a doctor would prescribe beer.

Absolutely riddled with status anxiety the lot of the middle classes.

Study for this, promotion that, invest in the other. All the while slipping on a greasy pole going nowhere frantically.

They need to read the parable of the Mexican Fisherman.

Give a man a Mexican baby and he has a Mexican baby today.

What's the difference between middle class and working class??.. cos as far as I can see 95% of people work

I don't see point in it....is it just a way for people to make emselves feel better/richer than others, while simultaneously complaining of having no money coz of tax??

I really dislike the middle class community and I dont like to be around them, I avoid them at all costs and cant sympathize with them whatsoever.

    Am I racist for this?

This is due to years of bad experiences, I have had a few dozen bad experiences with this particular group who make up more than 100% of the population, I cant get my head around how I can have so many bad experiences with such a large majority group.

Everyone else I know says the same thing about them, multiple bad experiences, sometimes of extreme violence plus bullying and intimidating.

How am I supposed to view these people in a positive light giving all of that?

You sound like a bit of a twat.

Middle class are generally in professions (Doctor, Barrister, Engineer etc.) and educated to at least degree level. Working class would generally be trades people to unskilled workers.

The three class system is all but defunct now anyway.

If After Hours has taught me anything it's that you can change words in a post to substitute one group of people for another without putting any thought into what you're saying and it always works without fail. Someone once 'fixed my post' about travellers by changing every mention of 'travellers' to 'blacks' and it worked seamlessly. I was amazed at how well it worked to talk about blacks in caravans abusing horses. It really made me think.
