Is it racist to dislike the middle class community?

I really dislike the middle class community and I dont like to be around them, I avoid them at all costs and cant sympathize with them whatsoever.

    Am I racist for this?

This is due to years of bad experiences, I have had a few dozen bad experiences with this particular group who make up more than 100% of the population, I cant get my head around how I can have so many bad experiences with such a large majority group.

Everyone else I know says the same thing about them, multiple bad experiences, sometimes of extreme violence plus bullying and intimidating.

How am I supposed to view these people in a positive light giving all of that?

Racism is now hiding behind the cloak of Community activism.

Are they a different race to you?

You should look up the definition of racism in a dictionary first...

They make up more than 100% of the nation? That means everyone is middle class including yourself and the other ppl who don't even exist.

    More than 100%?

And no it’s not racism because not a race.

Yes it’s true, believe it or not. A bit like extremely high humidity but much more uncomfortable/annoying.

Humidity, be it Relative, Specific or Absolute, doesn't exceed 100% either.

    Keep digging.

But the other 146.257% are the criminal class, at least that's what the Garda statistics said.

I genuinely dislike more middle class people than any other 'class'. There's a great bit by Billy Connelly on polo neck wearing, Volvo driving ****, wish I could find it. Where I grew up there was some properly posh people who you'd have no bother with, middle-class soco Dublin twats on the other hand. That's not to say all middle class people are insufferable just insufferable people tend to be, in my experience, middle class.

Problem is if you take the middle class out of it then there's nothing
to prop up the upper class and they're just going to crash down on top of
the lower class. Unless you had scaffolding or something. And who's going
    to pay for that?

The middle class robbed my oil

    and all my powertools

    and my dag dog

    :(

There is no middle class its. Higher class, and working class. Working class is now two halves ones pays for the other half and are worked to the bone.

That's the under class or leisure class. We managed to move that from a few aristocrats to large proportions of traditionally working class estates.

Personally I just have very little in common with most middle class people I've met over the years. I work in a profession with mostly middle class women.

From listening to some of their their conversations most of them are on a completely different planet to what I grew up with and experienced in life as a fella from a very working class estate in Limerick.

Give me old money or no money anyday

They are comfortable in their skin

The middle in Ireland especially Dublin are only a generation away from chasing pigs around a field and they know it

Desperately insecure and that resonates itself in snobbery

    Epic fail, Big Man.

I’d try and back out of this if I were you.

Bribe a Mod or stuff to have the thread closed.

Can of anti-dandruff shampoo could sort it for you.

Or a subscription to ‘Steam trains of the 50s’

    That’s what they like.

Who would pay tax without them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,551 ✭✭✭AllForIt

If there is one thing about the middle classes that gets on my nerves, and is a good way to identify a middle class person cause they all do it - its their propensity to OTT on idioms. For e.g. they are in a bar and order a beer, sip it and say 'that's just what the doctor ordered'. Like a doctor would prescribe beer.

Absolutely riddled with status anxiety the lot of the middle classes.

Study for this, promotion that, invest in the other. All the while slipping on a greasy pole going nowhere frantically.

They need to read the parable of the Mexican Fisherman.

What's the difference between middle class and working class??.. cos as far as I can see 95% of people work

I don't see point in it....is it just a way for people to make emselves feel better/richer than others, while simultaneously complaining of having no money coz of tax??
