I find that those who use the term "I have no sympathy for..." usually have a very long list of others for whom they also have no sympathy.

More often than not, empathy is what they're lacking.

Didn't look a bad sort from the picture in the independent, might have taken the wrong path

Agreed, seen lots on them on the Tommy Robinson thread saying they had no sympathy for him and they were the same ones saying the had no sympathy for MRAs or incels.

It's nothing but an inability to be empathetic, Ray, you've nailed it.

    Lovely attitude this.

    Somebody just died.

I'm glad our country is not run the way these brave internet posters want it to be.

Multiple convictions for drugs and firearm offences. We're not talking about a first offender who strayed a little. Talk of "zero tolerance" might have been relevant the first time, but his pattern of criminality had clearly enjoyed plenty of tolerance over the years. I can be empathetic, but I can't say "there but for the grace of god go I".

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

    Actor?

I have zero sympathy for drug dealers.

Actor is a stretch, he was an extra.

Evidence would argue publicans would be more of a problem. Anyway, let he who has not sinned...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Too young.

Very sad. May he rest in peace. Sympathies to his loved ones.

At a guess and from his pics he doesn't seem to be any sort of big time crim, more like someone on the fringes always looking for ways of making a fast buck, what strikes me more though is the sort of obsession blokes like him have with whitened teeth, tattoo's, calling themselves 'actors' or 'models' and 'being somebody' when they'd have been better off taking a FAS Course to become a Plumber/Plasterer or the like.

Maybe that's the problem he was highlighting?

As usual the illiterate scobes are out in force on FB saying what a stand up guy he was, he was a drug pusher so I don't see how he is any great loss to society.

He might have taken the wrong path?

Reading the article rather than looking at the pictures would suggest he certainly has taken the wrong path a long time ago. He has convictions from over 10 years ago.

35 previous convictions for drugs, violence and firearms. Making death threats.

This guy is a serious career criminal.

    His child deserves some sympathy.

Nope sympathy that they grow up without a father, sympathy that they were born into this scenario.

Terrible waste of a life, it pains me to see young people with kids choosing to go down this path of repeat criminality. He was old enough to choose better.

if it wasn't for drug dealers, we wouldn't be able to buy drugs.
They offer a useful public service - I don't get the hate for them.

Unfortunately it's not possible for me to edit my OP to reflect the update on this (due to edit post facility being disabled) although it was possible by contacting a mod to update the thread title.

And some ppl seem to think life in prison is too cushy?

The only point I made about this story in my OP was as above.

He may very well have overdosed in free life but I think we can safely say he is dead now as a result of being incarcerated. Not that I'm saying she shouldn't have been.

I never asked of anyone to be sympathetic towards him - that's a personal thing.

It's interesting that some talk about facebook scobes defending him but I don't think that's much different from postings on boards talking about his death as no loss to society. I thought we had a better class of commentary here.

The real story here of course is how drugs get into prison in the first place - or rather why they are allowed in.

Why? Let's be honest here, this person has numerous convictions for drug dealing and also threatening to harm or kill people. Ordinary, decent working people are being robbed and harmed all the time to keep people like him in Rolex watches.
