I think most people would take a rectal exam ahead of listening to the current breakfast show.

Are they briefing the jocks on the baby now? I heard Peter Devlin talking about how much it weighed earlier this evening. Give it rest.

Yeah, 8 pounds something. I enjoyed Peters time standing in for PC but I'm back to podcasts now.

Enjoyed that chap filling in for Pat. Anyone know what time he's usually on.

Used to have nova on all day while driving the van around but since the two gobshties started in the morning I listen to 2fm (yeah I know but at least you know what type of stuff you're gonna get and the "banter" sounds more natural). Don't switch nova back on until 3pm.

Are the shows on nova between 10 and 3pm any better now than they were in the last few weeks with all the change going on?

Peter Devlin? 6-9pm, Saturdays. That show is pre-recorded.

    Yes that's him thanks.

Is he on during the day at all? Only listen while I'm working midweek.

Normally, Peter Devlin is only on Saturday evenings. Lately, he has stood in for Pat Courtenay, while the latter has not been around. As far as I know, this year is the first time that PD turned up on Nova outside of a Saturday. Peter Devlin is also the singer in the duo The Devlins.

Cheers for that. I like Pat Courtenay and actually enjoy his silly jokes but Peter Devlin was a better presenter with better music so may try to catch him on Saturdays if I can.

Beautiful. Was sick of Morty too tbh. May as well have just been a show about babies the amount of times he mentioned it and had Dee in for a chat.

Will switch to Nova at 10am from now on so. Thank you

It is interesting that quite a few musicians have presented on Radio Nova (whether syndicated or otherwise), over the years.

Past: Rick Wakeman, Tommy Walsh and Alice Cooper.
Present: Peter Devlin, Kieran McGuinness and Gavin Glass.

Have not heard Mark Taaffe on Nova in a long time, he might have left, not sure, but did you know he is a house/dance music producer? He has released a few singles on Dutch label Housepital: namely "Don't Leave", "Sephora", "Hands Up" and "Tellin' Me". Doubt Nova would actually playlist them but they're quite catchy! He seems to have abandoned radio for the time being to focus on producing and releasing his own dancefloor bangers.

    Chalk and cheese.

I find the music Dee plays is probably the best of the whole daytime when Peter is not filling in...Ruth is just playing the same stuff...So now with PD on I listen from 10 until 3.....shock...:)
If only Peter would play How soon is now....instead of Hi hello.....just today..;)

Diana Ross and The Supremes and Iron Maiden. What do these two got in in common?

They were played back to back by John Clarke. Where else would you get a combo like that? Just a shame the weekday presenters don't have the same freedom of choice.
