Great scrum. So far Scannel justifying his pick.

    Conway looks very uncomfortable.

Very common for defensive players to go in with knees in that sort of try scoring situation. Needs to be penalised

Great response from Irland to that disappointing start.

    Is Conway OK?

Has to be a rule problem when the ability of the wronged party to save themselves dictates the sanction. The action was a lifting beyond the horizontal and a driving of the upper body towards the turf, the outcome a lottery.

That action, for me, should be red every day and the fact it isnt leaves the door open to it happening more often.

Yeah it's a stupid rule. The fact that the player lands on his neck or his head isn't something controlled by the offender, it's just a case of if the person being upended manages to get themselves in a position fast enough to prevent it.

As soon as the legs are lifted above the horizontal, as you said it's a lottery, and it's a malicious move.

My sincere sympathies to anybody else stuck listening to this with the Australian commentary. Considering just muting it and watching in silence.

Scannell showing up well so far, strong scrummaging, good tackles and confident throw

OMG Ireland are so up for this. Swarming over Australia.

    Conway is absolutely luckless.

That was gas. Brilliant from POM. He was clinging by his fingertips.

Ha, great to hear Hooper being told not to lie on people.

Disgusted for Conway, hope he's back next week

OK. Was forgetting they were down to 14. But Ireland made hay in that sin bin.

Ha, Murray and Pocock with a fool me once moment there.

You can see the difference in Murray this week too. Just looks more comfortable and slick with the knowledge that Sexton is outside.

It wasn't that dirty a tackle on Conway, but it was a shít winger's tackle it has to be said.

Kearney lucky he didn't injure Petty there, he was never going to win that ball and just jumped in.

This should be another 3. This is terrific from Ireland. No mistakes.

Scannell carrying very well, breaking through his man every time.

Sexton is so good ... it must be tough for Carberry, knowing that's the level he has to play at

    Ridiculous hands from Ringrose.

Stander and Leavy quiet but POM doing the work of two men at the moment.

Been impressed with him so far, solid darts at the lineout also.

Red blew the whistle too early there.

We got the three but could've been a try if he allowed play to continue.

Considering how scannell is going and how herring went last week, I think cronin is screwed.

Is that not a yellow card anymore? No chance of catching that knock on.

Just let Australia give us penalties, they're like a team of Itojes except this week it looks like the ref is paying attention.
