highly recommend "The defiant ones" for anyone with any interest in music.
Beautifully produced it has to be one of the best documentaries ive seen.

I really enjoyed it to but part of me does wish that we got more of it.

Some parts of it felt rushed and not given enough time. I could have and would have happily watched an 8 episode season.

See this is the thing I don't understand.

I wouldn't last that long if I wasn't enjoying a show, there is just too much stuff out there to stick with a bad show.

I started DS, and after first episode decided it wasn't for me. I thought it was awful.

I persevered with DS because it was highly recommended to me. It was the same with Peaky Blinders. Recommended to me but was close to giving up on it after 3 episodes. Continued watching and have absolutely loved it. If a show wasn't recommended to me then yeah I would probably quit if I wasn't enjoying the first few episodes.

I attempted to start breaking bad 3 times before finally making it through the first season, I just couldn't get into it at all until something just clicked, I now regard it as the greatest TV show ever.

I still haven’t started it because I’m afraid of becoming hooked and I just don’t have the time for hat in my life right now!

I’ve watched the first 2 of Evil Genius, really enjoying it. Read today there’s hints of a sequel www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/news/a858350/evil-genius-sequel-series-good-genius-directors-barbara-schroeder-trey-borzillieri/

Out of all the recent Netflix shows I’ve watched, I really loved Happy. I like to think of it as a follow up on Stabler leaving Law & Order SVU.

Couldn't agree more. Shame it wasn't a Netflix production but was a HBO one. Best music documentary of all time easily imo

Don't get carried away. They're only doing this for Emmy nominations, and the cutoff date.

It still affects binge watching. Not that impressed with kimmy this season.

Funnily enough, I tried Breaking Bad maybe 6 or 7 years back, got to episode #4 or #5 and quit. Wasn't doing it for me.

Never went back to it. Not prepared to commit the time to watch 60 episodes.

Just recently started and can echo this. The first season is a drag until the final episode. Season 2 has me hooked. I'm just 5 episodes in and can't wait for next few.

I agree with you to a degree.....but parks and recreation is a good example of this....the first series is poor but it really soars after imo.

I'm currently watching it again ( my third full run of the show) with my other half. We're in the last season and it's just top quality tv every episode imo.

I was like others and got fed up with the first season a few times. Eventually I persevered and I'm delighted I did. Best show on Netflix by a mile imo.

I really thought that after my recommendation earlier this week, this thread/forum would be awash with Wish Upon reviews.

I watched 20 minutes of it last night - it is so stupid. Going to watch the rest of it tonight.

Just power through that first series and you won't regret it, trust me. Once you hit the middle of season 2 you're hooked, I rewatch the entire series probably once every 6 months or so, if I'm ever stuck for something to watch ill throw on a random episode. It is just what every other TV show should strive to be.

Miles Ahead. Bat-sh1t crazy bio-pic about a couple of days in the life of jazz legend, Miles Davis. Written, played, directed and produced by Don Cheadle. It is very good.

Stick with it. 1st episode only gets you hooked right at the end.

I watched a docu movie called the 75 last night. It's about two NYPD officers who are bent and take bribes and graduate to full on heavy duty drug dealing. I really enjoyed it.

Watched both seasons of Fauda. Really enjoyed it.

Israel special forces, Palestines, Hamass....mix it all up and you get a very watchable show.

The detectorists. One of the most heart warming shows written for tv

Best tv programme I have watched in years. Told my mate about it and after 1 episode he wasn't convinced. After a couple he was coming in to work and hitting me with "see university challenge last night?"!!

Why the hell hasn't anybody mentioned Breaking Bad yet?  I hope it's either because it's not on Netflix anymore or everyone has already seen it?

It's the greatest TV show of all time.  2 other shows in the top 5 are Spartacus and Sons of Anarchy*.  Although I wouldn't watch Spartacus with your mammy** or anything.

    *Apart from the Belfast season

**Unless your mammy likes seriously insane amounts of sex, violence and bad language
