Pretty much everything recommended here is utter shïte.

It could be that or it could be the fact that I'm a miserable old bollocks.

Don't waste your time with Cargo.....its like a straight to bargain bucket film...with the added disadvantage of Martin Freeman.

Madame Bovary is good. In series terms I like "Marseille" which is a French political drama starring Gerard Depardieu.

If you wanted to find hidden programs that aren't shown on the main Netflix page you could try this. I'm not sure how many gems you'll find though.

No, it's about time travel..... some time in the future...hundreds of years from now... humans develop the means to send consciousness back through time and into the bodies of people living here at the moment(these people were about to die...so they essentially take over their bodies and live out their lives) and carry out misssions all in order to alter history and save humanity!! Eric McCormack from Will & Grace plays the lead character in it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is some good mindless fun, plus Rocksteady is Irish.

Started watching "the rain" last night. One episode in and it's good so far.

There's a french comedy called "Call my Agent" that I like. Not many would have watched it since it's in french. It's based around the agents of famous french actors. When the actors appear in it they play themselves.

    Just finished watching Safe.
    I'd definitely recommend it.
If anyone's a fan of Harlan Coben, you'll enjoy it as he wrote it

    Also The Sinner.
Off the scale weird at times, but intriguing too.

It's subjective though. You aren't going to like everything I like and vice versa. I think people have put together a good list.

Did I mention anything about liking/disliking the recommendations??

I said there's not many actual "hidden gems" on the thread ......... as in, you know, the thread title.

I'd say it might still be.. Netflix are releasing without as much of a promotional run up these days (e.g the latest runs of Arrested Development and 13 Reasons Why were on within a month of their first promo).

I'm guessing July. I don't know of any big "Netflix Original" releases yet for July, and they have quite a few there (Sense8, The Staircase, The Ranch, Luke Cage, and GLOW) for June that OITNB might overshadow.

It may have been mentioned and I don't know if you'd call it a hidden gem but the wailing is a great horror flick.

Its a korean horror, very well done and no cheap jump scares, really worth a watch.
