You will cease to exist, your very being removed from the fabric of time and space.

Tell me this sausage, has this person you refer to played for Ulster before?

Where is Johan Muller these days?
    That was my thought too.

    He's farming in South Africa.

So you are saying you don't know if he currently has a role in rugby, but he definitely is not an assistant coach somewhere?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 691 ✭✭✭$ausage$

No, what I am saying is Ruan could have a role in Ulster even as an Assistant Coach, but the one I am talking about is not him. So Ruan could be in I just don't know about him. You can have more than one assistant.

As for who I am talking about He/She/Zur's current job or lack there of is not part of that.

Yes, he got the boot the same time as GG.

I said that last week, because unlike you I share the information I receive. Think about that.

Justin Harrison? Hmmmmm.... would prefer Johann Muller I think.... the wait goes on.....

It's a shame the fan's can see all the issues at Ulster and what we need, but management can't. Last thing we need is more chiefs when we don't have enough indians.

I'm expecting the best news to come out of BT9 since the news that Ruan Pienaar had signed a three year extension.

If it doesn't moisten my loins then my opinion of you will be changed forever.

Anyone think of a westy with international coaching experience looking a job? especially now bbc have lost the broadcasting?

Well I like to think it was at rock bottom to begin with.

I think initially people will be disappointed but just due to hype, but then when they think about it they will see its good.

    It's definitely not Muller then.

If this turns out to be Dave Kearney coming north as a player coach I'm going to have to borrow awec's shítting pants.

All this hype about coaching staff, we need bloody players! With the injury profile to the backline could Macken be worth a punt from Wasps. Still leaves NIQ spot free then?

Don't forget Bryn saying about the academy getting a push, I would not be surprised if this is true. just because we got rid of say 5 bodies out does not mean we need 5 in.

There's a push and then there is cannon fodder. If we ship many more injuries to the backline it will basically be the Ravens playing.
I'm all for the academy getting game time, just not being expected to replace senior starters for the major parts of the season. They need rotated in with experienced heads not parachuted into fill gaps cause we're short.

    Louis Ludik*
    David Busby
    Aaron Cairns
    Darren Cave*
    John Cooney*
    Craig Gilroy*
    Rob Lyttle
    Luke Marshall*
    Peter Nelson*
    Johnny McPhillips
    Stu McCloskey*
    Jack Owens
    Johnny Stewart
    Jacob Stockdale*
    Rory Butler
    Angus Curtis
    James Hume
    Michael Lowry

Thats alot of backs! I know some will come and go or have gone but still. 18 guys plus new recruits plus new academy for 6 spots is enough cover for me.

    * Indicate Experienced players.

I think there is at least 5 pages worth of arguments about the decision to use "Scrum'H" but also "Out’ ½"

You have 7 experienced players there, throw in Ludik also that's 8. Now remove Marshal/Ludik (Injured most of season) and that's 6. On that basis and no1 else gets injured that's still cutting it tight when including rest/rotation. Then you could have Cooney on international duty.  If any of them 6 go out long term your screwed.

Just look at the centre, we have 2 senior players for 2 positions. They can't play week in, week out. (Addison can cover)

We will use the academy more, but it has to be beneficial not used as a stop gap/cannon fodder until players are fit. Academy players need rotated in and out, meaningful game time. Not like Cairns last year dropped in against Leinster never to be seen again.

Numbers isn't the issues  their quality/experience and using our academy resources to benefit them not destroy their confidence.  Imagine a 19 year old parachuted into the champions cup?

For the record I have high hopes for our current academy, just not our backs bar Lowry/Curtis/Hume.

    Carbery confirmed for Munster.
Best out of Ireland tour. Think this could be a blessing and let him have a summer to re-coup.
