The old mental health card. Clear as day it's used as an excuse, ticking a box exercise in the process of getting an abortion.

    Abhorrent thing to say.

I don't agree. He's acquitting himself very well.

Better than I expected from him. Bit shifty vs peadairs more genuine looking presentation.

The only k.o. bit was that letter from the Yes-obstritch read out. Kind of knocked a hole in her.

50/50 at the mo. No shading it perhaps

Pro Life struggle to admit it but Cora admitted eventually she would force a raped 14 year old carry a feotus to term.
So yes "pro life" and Cora fans DO want rape victims to be nice little incubators.

Disgraceful that TFMR were invited last week but were literally not allowed to get a single word in, even as their lives and family situations were being dissected by others.

Toibin being an arsehole here on the TFMR issue, to be frank.

Peadar “I can’t imagine what it’s like to get a diagnosis like that”

    Exactly. You can’t.

Charisma is not a word I'd associate with Steen. From watching her she has the charisma of a block of ice. She is the most capable of the no side but she lacks empathy.

Charisma might be a poor word choice. But she is definitely their strongest card.

Harris dodging all the questions. Master politician. Smarmy ****ing prick

He has a big sneery arrogant head. Deflected all the questions from Peader.

If someone's head can't dictate how you vote, sure we may as well do away with all referendum

Peadar had to admit that under the current legislation including the 8th, you couldn't legislate for the hard cases. Well done to that lady, very brave.

Hiya DOS. maybe you answered already but how do you feel about some of your bishops support for repeal?

Yes but who is he? What's the agenda? We have a right to ask questions about a fellow none of us ever heard of a week ago influencing a referendum.
Random? He is former president of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. He is editor-in-chief of a journal devoted to best practice in obstetrics and gynecology.

I heard of him several years ago, as had anyone who followed the events after Savita Halappanavar's death.

You hadn't heard of him so you have a go.

As for your 'effeminate' comment about Harris - how are you going to spin that? In a Christian, loving, non-judgemental way obvs....

Likewise it could be argued that killing the unborn is sick and unacceprable.

First post said you were voting yes, every one since with bottom-of-the-barrel no arguments.

"You need to grieve the baby you were expecting to have, and have time to learn to love the baby you're going to have..."

And what about if you're raped and you weren't expecting to have ANY baby?

I do not understand, and will never understand, why women like the lady speaking now, want to take away the CHOICE of other women, just because it isn't what she would do.

The Yes side would support pro-life women to carry on with their pregnancy, the No side would decide for every single person in the country.

    Can't stomach it.

Don't need to twist your words, your opinion on the choice (or lack thereof) for raped women is here for all to see.

Have the last word if you want it.

Under the yes she would still be allowed to make a decision to carry that child. Voting yes wouldn't prevent carrying the baby.

How dare that woman tell others in what way they are to be allowed to grieve.

I'm not sure why this Liz lady is comparing a child who will be disabled, and a child who isn't going to survive long outside the womb. Your child was going to survive. Others aren't going to, it's not the same thing you went through, much as you'd like think it is.
