Don't twist my words. It's not minor but a small percentage of abortion. Harris speaks as if the majority area rape.
There is no way to allow termination in the case of rape without repealing the eighth.

If you support the eighth, then you support forcing rape victims to carry their rapist's child.

It's that black-and-white. Even if it only occurred once a decade, it's sick, and it's unacceptable.

The rapist should be dealt with. Not an innocent life taken.

Sure I agree with you DOS, it's only a small percentage, to hell with them, let them get the boat. The main thing is that Ireland remains abortion free and people vote for Peadar Toibin.

The old mental health card. Clear as day it's used as an excuse, ticking a box exercise in the process of getting an abortion.

Then vote No and they won't have to make up such stories booking their flight/ferry to Britain.

Because that's what they do...those women...make up reasons on a whim.

Yes but who is he? What's the agenda? We have a right to ask questions about a fellow none of us ever heard of a week ago influencing a referendum.

Do you think it's a Christian thing to slyly take a dig at someone by calling them effeminate?

Without the charisma of Maria Steen the no campaign hasn't a hope in honest debates.

Charisma is not a word I'd associate with Steen. From watching her she has the charisma of a block of ice. She is the most capable of the no side but she lacks empathy.

I will be voting yes, but I have to laugh at the infantile "bodily autonomy" argument. Do these people think it should be perfectly legal to masturbate in public.

Bodily autonomy is about having the right to decide what happens to your body, it affects no one but the body involved. Willfully having a **** in public does not fall under the blanket of bodily autonomy.

And if the mother suffers lifelong but not fatal complications from the pregnancy this is just 'unfortunate'?

Harris dodging all the questions. Master politician. Smarmy ****ing prick

He has a big sneery arrogant head. Deflected all the questions from Peader.

Robert how sure are you that abortion is a cause here? And why? Let me know what research papers I should read on the subject.

I would like Mary Higgins to explain this because maternal death figures are higher in some countries with liberal abortion regimes. What has caused some countries with highly developed health systems to have worse outcomes.

I wouldn't mind if they cancelled the tv debate tomorrow - I think Simon Harris is playing a blinder and leaves a very positive yes in the minds of the public

Have to say, this is going very well. Far superior control over the debate and it's allowing the facts and arguments shine through. The facts are on the Yes side, and Harris is proving a very able advocate for his legislation.

If one believes killing the unborn is worse morally than forcing a woman to carry her rapist's baby then one should indeed belive women should be forced to carry the rapist's baby.

So you believe that a woman should be forced to carry her rapist's baby? Even if the father of that baby is her brother or her father or her abusive partner?

Just twisting my point Hunter and using emotion to play to the gallery.

A huge percentage of babies not conceived through rape or incest will be aborted.
