Positives are that Racing have made twice as many tackles as Leinster. We've also made them make more tackles. But I think we would have wanted to be ahead at half time and make them tire themselves out.

Racing are doing what Leinster have done for years, identify a way to beat a team by living right on the edge of the laws, and at times straying slightly into the realms of illegality and getting away with it. Up to Leinster to find a way around it.

The moaning about the ref is a bit much.

    Is Doyle Irish?

Barnes has been very lenient to Racing at the breakdown. Players have been that second slower to move away or leaving a leg for a second.

Racing seem to start very strong and then hang on. Leinster have some good subs to bring on so could be the difference.

    Is Doyle Irish?

    He's an RFU ref.

    Is Doyle Irish?

Yes but he’s a referee for the England union.

Can we all stop blaming the officials. They've been fine.

Clear yellow...nothing fine about it. Cynical play. The lad himself was expecting to see a yellow. You can see that by his reaction

They're down three of their top four half backs while we've had a couple of poor calls from the officials. So no contest in terms of hard luck.

Our coaches need to give the team the same kind of wake-up call that Danny Wilson & Co. gave Cardiff last night at half time.

    This is exactly it.
Leinster need to get smarter in the second half, this is well winnable.
Aside from the blatant yellow, the officials have been ok... The usual 50/50s that you'd have to be pedantic to complain about. The yellow is a hard one to take, mind you.

That was a Stonewall yellow and it was the 2nd deliberate knock-on. Racing getting away with murder at the breakdown; not rolling away, falling on the wrong side, taking players out beyond the ruck.

Think the TMO has made some decisions extremely quickly, and I'd wonder if he has given himself enough time. A couple of decisions have been marginal and open to interpretation. Barnes has either missed an awful lot or is just waiting for the TMO to do his job for him.

Think Barnes has been mostly good but Racing are right on the edge with all of their play. Dead right from them, up to the ref to call it.

Two absolutely brain dead decisions in their 22 (lineout number error and tap and go) is what is really annoying.

Tap and go was insane, but there's no way that Racing were back 10 when he tapped it.

Making one bad decision hardly counts as the referee ruining the game as people were saying in previous posts. I agree it was a yellow tho, third time they gave away penalties in their 22.

There's no other referee I'd rather have there to make the big calls in the second half.

Leinster need to try up the tempo a bit and then I think Racing will make more of them mistakes

This is nowhere near as bad as the Northampton final. Scores are even.and we had the most of the ball in the first half. it's still ours to lose. Just need to tire and stretch Racing.

    Cmon Leinster.

No one is blaming the officials for anything other than a terrible decision not to card Racing for a blatant slap down. Terrible decision but it has not determined the course of the game or anything.

Tense first half, nothing for a neutral to marvel at, but let's hope we see an early try and things open up.
Weather probably the cause of the conservative/boring play though.

Hard luck is one thing. Injuries can happen. Easy calls by refs is another.

The amount of luck Racing are having at times, ball squirting out to one of their players instead of Leinster, just about holding onto to a hospital pass etc, is worrying. One of those days so far

    Ah bloody hell.

Racing been lying on the ball all day

Racing number 6 interfering in offside position 2 or 3 times during those phases...

This game is starting to look allot like France v Ireland in 6n.
    What’s Spanish for Le Drop?
The Basque translation would be ideal!!

    And Isa!

Tap and go from inside their 22, but choose to go for the posts from the halfway line.

    Some really poor decisions.

Johnny is nervous. He's trying to force some things and it making calls that are just a bit out of character
