Young women and young men need to be educated that many of these places are not safe to go to . They may be safe when the authorities are on the ball and are protecting tourists for the sake of the income that the tourists bring in .

When / if the authorities take their eye off the ball then these places are often very dangerous places . Young people need the real information about these places and not have the truth held back from them .

India has its moments, but it's also more than a bit of a kip™. An actual "rape culture" in the boonies, higher murder rates, mind boggling corruption, a huge gap between rich and poor(and access to services like medicine), a caste system that's still in play, lower than average literacy rate(and much lower for women), infanticide of baby girls, spending daft amounts of money on the military and pocket lining while a huge percentage of the population redefines breadline and poverty. The system and culture is so fucked the government needs to kick off campaigns to stop people shitting in the public streets. Yeah, so just like Ireland then. :rolleyes:

No matter how some would spin it one cannot say the chance of being raped and murdered in Ireland is comparable to that in parts of India, but of course that doesn't stop the Whaboutists.
