Even if it kills them? Stops them from receiving treatment options as it has women contributing to this very thread? Your sisters little rape baby? Or a product of incest?

A life is a life regardless of how horrible a situation its conceived.

Make your sister carry the baby your cousin put in her. Awesome. #incestrapebabies

Why not? How many women with difficult cases are you prepared to sacrifice, and for what? Women will still have abortions (where they are able to) by taking pills or travelling abroad.

It seems to me that you simply want to punish women who want or need abortions, and for the life of me I can't understand why anybody would be that cruel.

You don't have to like abortion or approve of it to vote to repeal the 8th.

We didn't vote to allow divorce because we like divorce, or because we want more of it. We voted for it because there is a need for it.

You can vote to repeal the 8th without feeling that you are somehow approving of abortion. You would only be recognising the necessity of it. No more no less.

    Divorce doesn't end any life.

Equally if my daughter aborted a baby just because its unplanned and not a good time in their lives, Id never forgive them either.

I seriously doubt that they would tell you.

So if your daughter became pregnant as a result of rape, you'd be urging and begging her to keep the baby?

Or if your wife unintentionally fell pregnant while receiving treatment for cancer, you'd be advocating for her not to abort, so she can have treatment?
You'd want her to stay pregnant, even though denying her treatment might kill her?

    REALLY????????

Because that's the reality that your forcing other people's wives and daughters. They have no choice.

I would yes, Id be begging her to keep the baby.

the second one is a tough one, no right answer, again a sophies choice.

Id be horrified to know she killed an unborn child for selfish reasons.

Yes. It is. But one that the law needs to be prepared for! Don’t you think?

Her actions are none of your business. And if you would seriously treat your daughter that way she's better off without you.

What sort of sick twisted mindset would beg their own daughter not to abort her rapists' baby?

Jesus Christ there is no respect shown towards women here, if my daughter fell pregnant due to rape the last thing I'd be doing is begging her to keep the baby, I'd be sitting on a flight with her myself despite what I think of abortion, f*ck that.

That's you........ the bay didn't rape her, the baby didn't ask to be in that situation, its a horrible situation that doesn't need to be made worse. The damage was done by the rapist, the child still deserves to live.

What are you missing here? It clearly shows that countries with stricter abortion laws have higher abortion rates.

Last link for you - I do appreciate the actual report is pretty dense. This is a plain english summary of the conclusion.

    source
Abortion rates go down when countries make it legal: report
Abortion rates have fallen over the past 25 years, even as more countries have made the procedure legal and easier to get

What bit are you not getting?[/quote]
I'm afraid "WE" are going to have to through your bull**** out,
You argued that abortion levels fall in a country when abortion is made legal . You have sent me nothing that proves this,
No where does it show abortion rates being lower in a country after its been made legal .
IT shows the first year is a peak and then it declines ,it doesn't show any data form the year before it was made legal .,
Abortions rates have fallen due to better contraception in the first world  it says it in your own Data for godsake ,
Basically you didn't even read it and thought I wouldn't and are talking **** , while shooting down anyone else if they "don't have the Data " when you don't have it yourself.,
Another example of the absolute horse **** on this tread

So if you can find it in yourself to support the women you love, why not other women?

Ah look I couldn't go with every woman could I. Even if my daughter had one, I still wouldn't think abortion was then suddenly not the ending of a life.

They call it healthcare, when most abortions have nothing to do with health, the Yes side peddle this lie so much.

The 8th amendment impacts the healthcare of every pregnant woman Robert. I can't refuse medical procedures. I don't even have to be told what they are doing. I can have my waters broken manually if the midwife wants to speed things up, even though that's against best practise. I can be induced even though I don't want to be. I can have my vagina cut without so much as a by-your-leave.

    No, not really.
It actually wouldn't be a hard decision at all.

What would be more upsetting, losing a >12 week pregnancy, or your wife and mother of your children dying from cancer?

What would be more upsetting, you having to swallow your prejudices to support your daughter having an abortion that you don't agree with, or your already traumatised daughter being forced into motherhood against her will, after having her body violated in the worst way possible? Potentially ruining her life forever?

Its a no brainer for me. But that said, I love my mother and my sisters more than I care about what they do with their uterus's.
    That might be the difference.

Does finances affect one's lifestyle, yes or no?

    What do you consider lifestyle?
I'd imagine your trying to make out that lifestyle equals partying and holidays so no I don't believe that any significant number of women have abortions for the financial affect on their lifestyle

She didn't ask to be raped, why should she have to deal with the consequences of that rape????

Not asking you to go with every woman just to show them the same consideration you'd give your daughter. I understand it's different when it's your own loved one but every woman who ever had an abortion is someone's loved one.
