Isn't it a bit nuts to have the crew in red/orange hi-viz Suits - when the deck /pipes ect are red /orange....

It only comes into it's own when they are no longer on the deck though. :p

    Starry, starry night.

    tumblr_p78tahrTdb1ukmudao1_1280.jpg

Incredibly hard to get a photo like this as the ship is normally moving in rhythm with the sea and so everything else is moving relative to the ship, they were drifting off Egypt and this was the best chance to get the shot.

I can confirm that this is really what it's like to be out on the bridge wing in the wee small hours with the whole universe above you and sea at peace around you. Plus the smell of exhaust fumes from the funnel is simply intoxicating :p

At sea you are your own Search and Rescue service, as well as your own fire fighters and even medical team. We train and train so as to become familiar with the procedure so that eventually when the **** hits the fan, we are able to step up and get the job done.

At least two are needed, otherwise my helicopter has to take off to allow my visitors to land, playing musical chairs with helicopters is so childish.
