I'll be right beside you with the matches. :(

Twould cause too much bad feeling. They need to get this right so reckon it will have to be an outsider.

Leinster supporters will be feeling a tad sensitive right now and very keen to hang onto what we have.. Too many mistakes have been made.. Losing Jordi Murphy is bad enough .

Lancaster, carberry and Jordi. You might as well take first dibs on all Leinster academy prospects while you're at it.

Lancaster makes sense though, I'd rather he go to Ulster now than the premiership in two years.

Awww poor diddums...was losing your third choice No.8 a bit hard to deal with? Sure it could be worse, you could have lost your first choice 9-10-12 axis!

Lancaster isn't from Leinster, he's not even Irish. He is fair game as far as I'm concerned!

Can you be head coach and commute from Yorkshire though?

Essentially exactly what he's doing now?

I can tell you from experience the flights from Leeds Bradford to Belfast are exactly as frequent as to Dublin.

    I still don't think it's Lancaster.

On another level it makes no sense. It may strengthen Ulster but it would weaken Leinster. That's hardly an ideal situation. Whatever decision is made, it should strengthen Ulster, but not at the expense of another province. Even taking one of the out-halves wouldn't have such a weakening effect. You bring someone in from outside to add strength.

Well he has less responsibility now as a senior coach but maybe he could do it, no idea.

It's only an hour flight or so. There's a 7am flight over and a flight home late that evening. So it's doable.

He doesn't commute every day though. He stays over for a few days and flies home on down days.

Your players created this mess let me remind you. Why should Leinster lose out as you try to rebuild your team,

BTW I was supporting Ulster yesterday because I thought they needed that boost. But stop thieving from our club.

    Of course he’s fair game.

It can’t be Andy Friend. No chance he’s first choice. Maybe he’ll come in another capacity.

I can't see how the new coach can be ''first choice'' . .They won't exactly be queueing up to take on the job.

Reminded by a Matt Williams tweet. Brian Ashton is available!

I think if it was Lancaster then Cunningham would be a little more careful with his words. I'm not saying he isn't fair game but Leinster fans will be very unhappy if another province specifically targeted a senior coach and then gloated about it in advance of the announcement.

It could be Lancaster but I suspect it will be an equally high calibre but further afield option.

Lancaster is of course fair game. It would also leave a lot of understandable soreness with Leinster fans.

I don't believe it's him for a moment until it's announced. The provinces are not in the habit of taking coaches from one another and not a hope it would be kept quiet either if it was him.

I think you'd have to look at which teams are still in season for the next few weeks. Apart from the Pro14, there are Premiership teams and Top 14 teams still with matches to play. As a by the way, did anyone mention Simon Mannix as a possibility?

    It's an interesting one.

To answer the question 'who is likely top of a list of coaches put together by Ulster rugby' you need to ask whether they were being completely realistic when then drafted the list or did they include everyone.

I mean I'm sure Joe Schmit would be on the latter list for example.

It's most likely not a current international coach. Most likely a head or senior coach of a pro14, top14 or premiership team.

I would have a good laugh at ogara as Ulster head coach. Not something I ever would have imagined.

This is the same Cunningham who threw specific players under the bus for an underperforming team. He strikes me as someone who'd say anything if it got him more TV time.

Maybe Nucifora is sick of admin duties and wants to get back into coaching.

    It worked regarding Deysel.

If ever there was a player who didn't fit with Ulster's ethos.

I'd be amazed if it's Lancaster.

Not in the slightest. Be seriously fuming if big money was spent on him. We need a loose head and 2nd and couldn't of been more evident than yesterday. I think McPhilips is doing a great job and just need a tutor/2nd to support.
