Where is anyone seeing controversy over this, or people condemning the bouncer? All I've found is posts from clickbait Facebook pages captioning the video "bouncer ATTACKS three women" and other such sh!te, with the deliberate - and successful - intention of provoking thousands of comments from both men and women rallying around the bouncer's right to self-defence.

This isn't controversy, this is a bunch of Facebook pages generating ad revenue by giving a video a provocative title and then rolling in the €€€ when people have to click on it in order to argue about it in the comments. :D

Now watch as they play the victim, get the bouncers fired and sue the club for 100k - and get it too .

Can the thread be renamed “Drunken Slags Attack Bouncer”, please?

Some of those yokes could face serious charges. Bouncer(s) be grand.

There is a longer video. They escalated things by throwing a glass at the bouncer and repeatedly charging towards the door. Bouncers eventually locked the door to keep them out.

Second section of the video starts at 3.55

All I could see in that video was ACCENT.

The yanks missed a trick with their torture methods in Guantanamo Bay. Put even the hardest of hard nuts to crack in a room with a gaggle of pissed up Belfast women; they'd crack within twenty minutes, tops.

They were being charged at by 3 ****ing drunken lunatics, legs akimbo and heels to the face. Fcuk that. Meh he probably shoved a little too hard but I ain’t mad at it.

I find the number of people on here making straw man arguments about feminism and taking apparent glee in violence against women a little worrying.

I would identify as a feminist- I believe in equality and recognise that the current power structure is stacked against women but is also damaging to men- and I don’t think that the bouncers here have done anything wrong. Violence begets violence. If they’re going to behave this way then this is the consequence.

This has very little to do with feminism. Scumbags are scum, regardless of gender some people are just *****. But ironically the people on here who are calling this out as a failure of feminism are a symptom of the toxic culture that feminism opposes.

I don't think those people are actually being serious. I don't think anyone really sees this incident as indicative of either the success or indeed the failure of feminism. In order for that to happen, people would have to take feminism seriously, which is a pretty tall order in itself when it's claims include the existence of some nebulous 'power structure' that is stacked against women (implying that it is stacked in favour of men), but is also damaging to men? Men are victims too, of a system in which they appear to have the upper hand in this imaginary power struggle?

It appears that feminism renders a person incapable of understanding humour, and promotes a view that regards humour as toxic. With such a joyless ideology, is it really any wonder people don't take feminism seriously? That's not to say that nobody takes women seriously, and thankfully for society not all women are feminists, and not all feminists are women.

But that's thinking too deeply about what was just an all too common altercation outside a nightclub that people really don't give a shìt about the people involved.

From the video the bouncers were restrained enough.

Could have closed the door earlier and the table glasses would have been the first thing I removed as a potential weapon.

I guess we don't see what started it all. Were they refused or thrown out? Nothing excuses their behaviour though. Frozen in time forever.

Women hitting men / Men hitting women is one of the most stupid double standards out there. I get it that a man can potentially cause more damage but it changes nothing IMHO - don't hit anybody should be the motto for anyone who believes in equality

The responses here have been strangely 1 sided in favour of the bouncers and condemning the women skangers.
I agree with the majority but when I first saw video thought there would be all kinds of names and vitriol being thrown at the bouncers.
Has the internet finally ran out of outrage?

The posts here have been categorically in favour of the bouncer.
There doesn't have to be representation from all sides, especially when their behavior was indefensible.

I'm surprised the lady with the guitar is getting a hard time here. I think anyone suggesting she shouldn't have got involved is just sorry there wasn't more violence.

Also, I don't have FB but I would be surprised if any posts claiming bouncers assaulted the women are only clickbait trying to provoke an argument.

In the longer video after the glass did one of the woman try attack the bouncer with glass?

Bouncers did notging wrong. Women were being violent scumbags.

It's quite simple really, don't want to get manhandled by a bouncer don't start slapping and kicking them.

I'm sure most of us can agree we've seen more extreme reactions from bouncers for much less.

Saw this on the Daily Mail and they added "the woman was reportedly kicking the bouncer", they had the bloody video on the article, no reportedly about it! Hardly was doing leg exercises.

First part of this post is utter rubbish in 2018.

But I agree with you regarding the bouncers.

I agree with bolded statement (their behaviour being the women's not the bouncers behaviour).

It's one thing to screech like a lunatic arguing with door staff making an embarrassment of yourself but if you resort to kicking out (repeatedly) like a tantrum throwing child you have it coming to you. I'm sure everyone can appreciate that getting kicked with high heels will hurt. Lucky for her the bouncer showed incredible restraint but sure let's twist it around on him for reacting to a physical assault and state he 'attacked' three women. The guy was just doing his job i.e. bouncing those assholes from going in because they were likely to cause trouble for those inside. That they resorted to causing trouble vindicates the staff here.

Having worked the doors when I was younger I can tell you that women are worse then men when they get going.

I remember one instance where a woman kept trying to hit me with a Stiletto because she was put out. Eventually I got grabbed her stiletto and threw it on the roof of the nightclub. I have also seen women glass other women, pulling lumps of hair out, leaving scratches like a velociraptor... Would never go back and so it again.

Just in general, if you give someone a push in just say a pushing and shoving match and they fall and bang their head in the wrong spot and die - is the pusher in trouble legally or is it a case by case situation ?

I saw CCTV of the incident inside. Yer wan in the gold top slapped another fella at the bar and was chucked out.

All scumbags in these situations should be treated equally. They should be landed out on their arse by whatever force and means necessary,up to and including rough handling.

    Regardless of gender.
