    Nice Meal Gives you cancer

    Sunshine Gives you cancer
    Filthy Animals Gives you cancer

Not true. Vapes leave a nasty odour after them in confine spaces.
Not to mention that eye watering click sound when someone sucks on it.
    Tubes of filth imo.

Seeing folk vape reminds me of babies with dummies, or as they say in the US, comforters.

I stopped smoking about 10 years ago.

But i still live the smell of it. Not off clothes, but literally the smoke from the cig when smoked. Probably more than when i smoked.

    Weird I know..

Do some people actually believe this? I genuinely couldn't think of anything less attractive.

Funnily enough, I feel the same way about people with pets. All that **** left behind. At least smokers more than pay the cost of cleaning up after themselves in taxes.

I do smoke. I have private health insurance. and I pay a fortune compared to the rest of Europe for smoking... now why couldn't the government just ban the cigs themselves, and remove that bloody temptation?

    What about pets?

The worst is at the entrance/exit to any shopping centre.
Your on your way out with a bag of wonderful fresh produce, and BANG: Big fcuking cloud of smoke in your face upon exiting the doors!

Bonus points when it’s the staff of the grocery store outside smoking themselves up!

Shoutout to Northside Shopping Centre for putting a new covered trolly bay outside the entrance, which has basically become a big smoking hut.

I still have Aran knitting patterns where the guy is smoking. See how sophisticated it was seen to be?

Question to the people throwing cigarette butts out of the car window. Do you know you’re littering but just don’t care or do you not really consider it littering. Someone on here must do it. Would love to see an honest answer.

I hate the smell of smoking and the smell off smokers but if I tend to move away from them myself if they're puffing too close to me. No big deal. The big deal for them is the chances of getting cancer and having had smokers in my own family who died from smoking related cancers I can't understand why anyone would ever touch cigarettes. But that's their choice and the chance they take.

No it’s not stopped or enforced as far as I can see. Portlaoise is rampant with it. Nothing classier than when u get that smell of stale fag buts as you walk outside the door and a puff of smoke from a heavily pregnant woman.

Currently living over in Switzerland. The same issue with smokers lighting up before getting on trains and some are pathetically bad before they get off a train they have the cigarette in their mouth and the lighter in the hand ready to go!

    Thankfully not for much longer:

I guess they think the birds eat them.

Can't understand why young people take it up, it hasn't looked 'cool' since the 1950s.

A lot of the people out walking their dogs don't collect the sh.it left behind.

Germany is a bit of a smokers paradise, but even here they don't allow smoking on the train platforms. Not a hard rule to implement, just a few signs is all it takes. And if anyone even attempts to light up they will be met with a lot of hostility and will quickly stub it out.

Ah that! not as bad as cigarette butts as it degrades... but bad in towns.

The Nanny State attitude is permeating every corner of our lives, and people in general (to me) are picking up on this command and control attitude and often feel they can be little Napoleons themselves. Shoo.

I don't smoke but I honestly would not be bothered by a bit of cig smoke out in the open air. It happens.

What on earth are you on about? No one's telling smokers they cannot smoke. They're complaining about the smoke blowing all over people who don't want to breathe it in and, in the absence of cop on and consideration from many smokers (not all) are wondering if it could be banned in public places.

Nothing to do with a Nanny State attitude.

Dya know what you don't smell much anymore? Smokers who stink of smoke, to the extent you can get it from a few feet away. Must be due to a lot of folk smoking outside the house now.

I was in the doctor's the other day though and an pensioner comes in and the reek of him.

Teens probably take it up because it annoys adults and parents, they think they'll live forever and they can give it up anytime.

Hopefully we will come to some point in the future where fannying around in public with an unhealthy, foul-smelling, smouldering piece of vegetable matter wrapped in a piece of paper in your gob is considered a pointless activity.
