True Lol, he was referring to a future announcement I think. Is it wrong I'm hoping it isn't wasted on a out half?

I suppose it depends - have you a viable young lad coming up? It is the most important position on the pitch, so I'd definitely be weighting any spend in that direction.

Couple of promising out halves coming through, just very young! But with Ulster as we already know, no pack no win.

Ye Awec noticed a comment on UAFC stating Logan had claimed to the Club Reps that a word class signing on the way. Shall wait and see!

Need a loose head, 2nd row, out half and winger

Not a lot to ask for then.

What's the story with Diack and Pete Browne next season?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,538 ✭✭✭launish116

Not alot to ask but we can dream

Pete Browne seems to fallen out of favour and has been mainly with Ravens. Not sure how that will work with the change to u23 team though. Think Diack was injured and fallen out of favour also.

It will probably be at Hooker and for just 1 season.

    And he'll be injured.

    Rory Best on the bench.

    Cave dropped completely

    Odd selections.

Anyway at least Henderson is in the second row.

Great article in the indo from Ewan McKenna. I think it sums up the aftermath of the trial succinctly. I've no idea how to put it onto a post.... sorry.

There was chat about Rory being so wound up at the minute that he didn't feel he should/could start or captain this weekend, so that one makes sense at least.

Can't for the life of me see why Cave isn't there. It's a massively strong Glasgow side...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭bilston

So much for Glasgow not sending a strong side!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,047 ✭✭✭Bazzo

I don't think Glasgow got the "weakened team" memo.

EDIT: Beaten to the punch :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,819 ✭✭✭Dubinusa

    Damn Glasgow.... carry on.

If anything happens to Ethel it truly will be the final straw

Apparently she is keeping a younger academy tea lady, holder of the Mrs Doyle bursary, back so it might happen......:D:D

But Ethel is internationally capped now and that leaves an opening for the academy tea lady during international windows. And of course she's always on the bench should Ethel have an accident or get the flu. ;)

She'll get her chance. Although I hear the tea is a bit weak and the digestives can be soggy. Needs a bit of strength and conditioning work.

    Deysel off injured, game over!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,708 ✭✭✭ScissorPaperRock

Ludik should have gone for that himself

    What a finish!

Ulster should obliterate Ospreys in the play off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,266 ✭✭✭Juwwi

If Ulster get 5 points v Munster next week and Edinburgh getting nothing v Glasgow they finish 3rd and into playoffs ,,commentators dont seem to pick up on that at all tho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,538 ✭✭✭launish116

Honestly had them written off after Deysel left! Missed from 50 mins on!

Sad thing is can start to see Gibbes influence. Bar the weak tackling.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 569 ✭✭✭Hands Like Flippers

    That was a great game.

Ref was outstanding. Kept a lid on the game and let it flow really well.

    Mccloskey was v good. Underrated.

Piteau is hard work. Takes 2 or 3 every time to stop him.

    Error count quite low.

    Trying to play expansively.

Best Ulster game I have watched in a while.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,159 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Very good win and a good performance.

The players have really delivered over the last 3 weeks.

McCloskey, Timoney and Reidy were all very good. Piutau and Stockdale linked well again and McPhillips had a strong game.

I really like the look of Angus Curtis. He seems to have 'presence' on the pitch. He'll forget about his conversion I'm sure.....:D
