I know, driving for a living..

Yesterday morning taxi going up O'Connell St, bikes in front, parping his horn at them for a good minute because a fare was trying to flag him down. Then just stops dead in the road (doesn't pull over) to pick up the fare. There were a few words exchanged between him and the cyclists. Shameful

I was hit recently by a taxi....

I have the video footage from my Cam and even showed him this.

He has put in an injury claim....

I will post it up here eventually when it is all sorted as don't want issues surrounding the case.
    Both insured with same company.

I believe it was a set up and would have worked more then likely for him. It won't as the video doesn't lie and proves he is.

Can you give some brief details, doubt posting the video would have any adverse affects - not a case of hearsay. If so the ones posted on YT would have trouble prosecuting based on video evidence

I wouldn't risk it in my opinion. I'd wait until everything is sorted.

What do the OP gain from posting a video early? A few views on youtube?

Jesus could have put a warning there or something that we see a guy in flames.

The exact reason why you shouldn't swerve.

actually the reason why drivers need to be aware of blind spots and not move their vehicles into them.

Cyclist nearly taken out of it this evening on way home on the Rock Rd.
Watch white car in front of taxi ahead of me.
Probably on the phone or simply not looking. Thank goodness the cyclist seemed experienced enough to expect this - probably not their first time.

I remember the company logo if that cyclist happens to see this.

That entire stretch of road from Monkstown to Merrion Gates is one disaster after another but the redesign of that junction takes the biscuit.

Considering the local residents in this area of Dublin wouldn't exactly be known for their driving acumen, making such obvious design errors is like setting up a death trap.

@punisher, don't post that vid until that matter is concluded. It could be a very expensive mistake.

Quote all of my post, then people who are not familiar with the gSensor settings can judge/decide(if you have scared them enough)for themselves if maybe they'd like to set it to a low setting to stop their SD card filling up with unnecessary pot hole, heavy braking etc clutter....

Typical, no contact therefore it's their problem, happens to motorbikes all the time, then it's classed as a single vehicle issue.

Kept going yes, but caused it? I'd say he was only partly to blame

I'm not saying it is intentionally doing this, but it definitely is.

Yay Limerick! Recognised it straight off!

Anyways how the hell can you not see a big butted BMW?? Oh wait, driving an old Micra.. I can make some fairly accurate deductions from that alone which I shall not divulge because we don't need Sherlock Holmes to make that blatantly obvious a deduction!

Let's give the poor Micra some love for a minute, because the new model looks absolutely gorgeous! I would drive it myself! And I haven't said that since the good old Mark whatever-it-was from the very very early 2000's (including 2000, maybe 98/99).

Now that I've said that and watched it again, I'm not even sure it IS a Micra... dammit must go to Specsavers.
