Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just looking to do a comparison on scores from now till the end of season.
Im looking for people that are using chips in different ways.
I have no wildcard and will be using FH in 34, TC in 37 and BB in a sgw.
Im looking for someone with the same chips left as me but planning to use FH in 35.
Someone with all chips left thats currently wildcarding and BB 34, FH 35, TC 37
As above but TC 34 and BB 37.
Someone thats wildcarding in gw 33.
Someone with all chips left thats wildcarding in 36.
    Someone with no chips left.
Ill use km79 as i know he has no WC and no FH.
If i have missed another strategy that someone is going with maybe put it here.
All I need is your team ID. My opinion is the most important chips in order are Wildcard, FH, TC and then BB and played with dgws the combination of all these chips may benefit in the obvious dgw but hinder in other weeks. The FH chip is a bit of a gamechanger in my opinion. Im also going to include gw 31 in my comparison so hopefully some will have played the FH then.

Great lads. I'll use both of yous. If you just include your team ID in the posts.

For what it's worth Busts, I have FH and BB left, FH35 and BB37.

    Team ID: 392

Perhaps not the most interesting of strategies for your study, but it's another route nonetheless.

No that's perfect. I'm looking to see the impact of chips and if there is an optimal route to take in future.

    WC BB TC left

    WC this week

Lukaku earmarked for TC in 34 and then BB in GW 37 unless its not compelling when I get there and it might be saved for GW 38

All I have is BB left and likely playing it in GW34. Be interested to see results of this - hoping I can continue to rise but have a feeling chips will kill me.

Played wildcard in GW28 and has worked out well as I’ve risen about 80k and did have an eye on DGWs so am quite well set up for GW34.

5 of the 6 players with no wildcard took a hit this week . The wildcard so far has given an average boost of 8-9 pts. Things should get interesting this week with BB, FH and TC all in play. Hope to go through the teams later in the week to see what way people are going with their moves.
Also anyone that is playing BB could you put your real bench players on the bench for the purpose of recording the results.

This isnt helping my DGW rage but here goes.
    The Free hitters
    Busts 59
    Mr prodston 79

    No chips used
    Scummyman 75
    Islander 86(-4)
    Pokerface 88

    The Bench boosters
    futureguy 106 (21 on bench)
    Jimmi 96 (23 on bench)
    Normanoffside 99 (17 on bench)
    Trimmtrabb 78 (8 on bench)
    Rikand 108(19 on bench)

    Triple captainers
Im including in brackets what the TC was worth to you. One extra score.
    Fingers 86 (8)
    KM79 113 (10)
    benimar 83(-4) (8)
    Patmac 77(-4) (8)
    kilburn 102(-8) (8)

    Averages
The first number is the average score for each category. The second number in brackets is the number of players that each category had. For example on my FH its 22 even though I had a good few no shows. I had 11 players that were due to have 2 games.
Bench boosters 97.4 (27 players) Bench boost worth an avg of 17.4 pts
Triple captainers 89 ( 20 players) TC worth an average of 8.4 pts
    no chip used 82 ( 20 players)
    Free hit 69 (22 players)
Free hitters and particularly myself the big losers this week. With the TC chip being only worth 8 pts and having more players than TC and no chip players and all the latest info before playing it you would expect the averages to be a lot closer. Decent returns for BB an average of 17 isnt bad. Interesting that km79 who had no WC and no FH ended up with the highest score this week.

I bloody bottled the bench boost and saved it only for Zaha to score twice in the first 30 mins of the Sat games. Been a long rageful gameweek. My only saving grace is that I didnt use the TC chip!

Thx for the analysis btw Iused2like. Interesting

It's an interesting start Busts but I think you'd need a lot more numbers for better comparison. I'm late to the party but maybe in the future what we could do is set a table with the different plans for the chips and every FSAers who'd will to participate would add his score in the appropriate column.

Personally, so far, the chips have been working good for me but I'm still with the most important of them all (TC) to play. 114 pts for my FH & 116 this GW for my BB.
If I can assume my BB was worth 24 pts (Pope, Mili, Tomkins, Mustafi) I haven't made the exact maths for my GW31 FH... Let's have a look at it.
I had 7 available players. As a matter of comparison i currently have 7 players for GW35 so the situation is similar. I'm planning to make 2 transfers (maybe 3 max). I think I'd have done the same in GW31. Had i done nothing I'd have scored 89 pts. My 2 trasnfers then would certainly have been Shaqiri & Tosun for an extra 15 pts (-4). That is 104 (-4). So I "only" gained 14 pts from my FH (Mili 10 pointer & particularly Choupo 6 pointers despite being rubbish for centuries before that decreased my expected gains).

That is a very simplified view anyway. I'm always looking at this game in the whole picture and were I determined not to use my FH in GW31 (expecting a bigger blank later) I'd have not made the same transfers before GW31. Also if I had my FH available when I WCed in GW32, my WC team would only have been focused on the DGWs. For example, my BB this GW was mainly successful thanks to my planned GW35 players (Mili & Tomkins combined 17 pts).

From your analysis and my own take on how to best play the chips this season I'd say that:
    - we'll know after GW35 when was the best GW for the FH (it'll be 31 or 35 and I suspect the latter one will be best considering the potential big hitters) ;
    - GW34 seemed to have been best for BB considering there was no huge captain haul and some planned GW34 bench players for BB who have a game in 35 got good scores (e.g. Pope, King, Tomkins, Mili, Gudmundsson, Barnes...) ;
    - TC was for GW31 but that is pure hindsight (:p), GW37 will tell.

    This weeks scores
    Busts 54(-8) 10 players
    Futureguy 74 FH
    Fingers 76 FH
    Scummyman 71 FH
    Jimmi 51 FH
    KM79 63(-8) 11 players
    Islander 56(-8) 10 players
    normanoffside 50(-12) 10 players
    Trimmtrabb 56(-4) 11 players
    Benimar 65 Wildcard
    rikand 72 FH
    Pokerface 77 FH
    Kilburn 57(-8) 11 players
    Mr prodston 57(-4) 11 players
    Patmac 68 FH

    Average scores
    Free hit 70
    Wildcard 65
No chip 49 - thats after minusing hits average of 8 per player

My take on the FH it was always going to be a good week to use it especially for those on the wc32/33 bb34 strategy. I do think a lot of things fell into place to help FH players. 1/ The leaking of the liverpool team with news that firmino wasnt starting was a help for FH as it was a player they could avoid and a player a lot of the non FH would have. 2/ The aguero injury gave clarity to who would start up front for city a benefit for 35 however the FH now probably looking at a hit to get him. The non fh people took the hit in 35. 3 / Wenger more or less saying it would be lacazette up front and not aubemyang who a lot of non Fh would have had. Lacazette then getting only his second double digit score of the season.

Scores over the last 2 gws and number of players played over last 2 weeks
    1 Futureguy 180 WC 32 BB 34 FH 35 (40 players)
    2 Rikand 180 WC 33 BB 34 FH 35 ( 40 players)
    3 KM79 176 BB 34 ( 30 players)
    4 Pokerface 165 WC 32 FH 35 (32 players)
    5 Fingers 162 TC 34 FH 35 (32 players)
    6 Jimmi 147 WC 32 BB 34 FH 35 (39 players)
    7 scummyman 146 FH 35 ( 29 players)
    8 Benimar 144 TC 34 WC 35 ( 30 players)
    9 Kilburn 143 TC 34 ( 30 players)
    10 Patmac 141 WC 32 TC 34 FH 35 (33 players)
    11 normanoffside 137 WC 32 BB 34 (36 players)
    12 Mr prodston 133 FH 34 (33 players)
    13 Islander 130 WC 32 (31 players)
    14 Trimmtrabb 130 BB 34 (35 players)
    15 Busts 105 FH 34 (32 players)
Lots of different strategies in play there and no surprise the highest scorers are the people that have used 3 chips with BB being more useful than TC in 34. The two highest scorers with the most amount of players aswell. KM79 score is remarkable he only used the TC(which wasnt a great return) and has had the 2nd lowest amount of players out of all of us.

    GW 36 scores
Players that used FH in gw 35
    Futureguy 57(-4)
    Fingers 47(-4)
    Scummyman 46(-4)
    Jimmi 36
    Rikand 45(-4)
    Pokerface 47
    Patmac 35

Players that wildcarded in gw 36
    Kilburn 61
    Mr Prodston 60

    The rest
Busts 82 (20 pts on BB)
    KM79 69
    islander 72
    normanofffside 54
    Trimmtrab 70
    Benimar 63

    Averages
Players that used the FH in 35 got an avg score of 42pts in gw 36
Players that didnt use FH in 35 got an avg score of 66pts in gw36
My 20 BB pts are increasing that avg score so you could really say its a 64 pt average instead of 66.

If you combine the average scores over the last two gws
    FH 35- 112 ( gw 35 70, gw 36 42)
    Non FH-113 (gw 35 49, gw 36 64)

This is why Ive been interested in looking at the strategies as I always feel there is too much focus on a single gw score when assessing the optimal strategy. For example with the FH in 35 they got the boost they should have got in 35 but they were always going to be set up a lot poorer than the rest of us for 36 as the non FH had the city players in place.

Big delay in this . Sorry I forgot all about it.
    GW 37
    Those that played BB
    Fingers 85(-8) BB 16 pts
    Scummyman 96(-8) BB 30 pts
    KM79 84(-8) BB 14 pts
    Benimar 94 BB 20 pts
    Pokerface 112(-8) BB 18 pts
    Kilburn 91(-8) BB 18 pts
Mr prodston 101 BB 35 pts
    Patmac 101(-16) BB 19 pts

    Those that played TC
    Busts 71 TC 4 pts
    Futureguy 70 TC 4 pts
    Jimmi 78 TC 4 pts
    islander 88 TC 8 pts
    normanoffside 76(-4) TC 8 pts
    Rikand 70(-12) TC 3 pts

    No Chip
    Trimmtrabb 72(-4)

    Averages
Bench boosters 88.5 pts when hits are subtracted. The only two people that didnt take hits were two players that wildcarded late Benimar gw 35 and Mr prodston gw 36. The BB was worth on average 21 pts this week although lots of hits taken by those that didnt wildcard just before it.
Triple Captainers 72 pts only 2 out of 6 of these players took hits compared to 6 out of the 8 players that played the BB. The TC was worth an average of 5 pts this week.
Discounting the chips this week BB average 67 (88-21) TC also average 67 (72-5) and Trimmtrabb who played no chip got 72(-4)

Im not going to bother posting the gw 38 scores but will just point out that islander played his BB and got 7 pts from it. The 3 highest scorers from gw 38 were Benimar 92 km79 88 normanoffside 84.
