Any updates on how Mcdaid is doing with Australian farceball. Hopefully he hates it and we get him back soon.

Liam Silke confirmed as off to the US for the Summer. Will be a big loss but can't blame the lad for going. Might only have one chance to play some football abroad.

Heading for work experience as part of his studies, what I heard. Big loss to our defence.

The better white kit today instead of the camo gear.

Joe Cooney starting for Niall Burke. Hanbury at fb. Coyne corner forward.

We look very heavy legged, no real bounce to our step at all.

Chin is a very poor freetaker. Misses multiple frees a game. Surely they have someone better

Awful tripe so far.... continuing on from the second half against Limerick.

Our scoring this year has fallen off a cliff.

We were hitting nearly 30 scores a game last season and broke 20 every game.

McInerney and whelan keeping us in the game

Is there another ground beside Wexfords?.

You can hear another game going on and you could hear a team being announced on a PA 10mins ago.

Wonder is there another game on in Portlaois and the commentators are just commentating from there watching on a TV.

    Heard that too.

Club final replay is in Portlaoise today. Maybe they are there.

    Galway off the pace here,

Its awful distracting... surely they could commentate from somewhere that limits the sound... can't tell anymore what game or crowd sound I'm listening to.

You can hear how loud the second game was there as they went to break... its as loud as the live game.

Enough positives there to give us a chance in the second half without the sun in our eyes.

Whelan, the Mannions, Joe Cooney and Mc all improving as the game goes. Couldn't blame Skehill for that goal.

That lanky O'Connor boy is destroying us though. Every single ball in does us.

Thought I was going mad there for a while. The whistle is fierce annoying.
Must be some other feed coming through.

Galway looking vulnerable enough so far in 2018-

Is Leinster wide open as in kk wf Galway?

Or are Galway holding back something?

Tuohy and Dave Burke need to be subbed.

Nearly a full team out there bar Daithi Burke. Miles off the standard we were at. Look kind of heavy too. Big step in needed in the next month.

We're getting smashed on the puck outs.

Wexford have scored about 5 from their own.

Well done Coyne... a fine contribution he's made for a new player.

They're working much harder too. Every ruck sees us out numbered 2 or 3 to one.

Just losing puck out after puck out.

They scored nearly half their points from puck outs.

    Shocking.

Don't look like AI champions this year... could see that from the Antrim game.

Disappointing finish but thought Whelan had a blinder.

Lot of players gassed out after 40 minutes. Hopefully 2 months will be enough to get fitness but more importantly sharpness in them because every team in Leinster will be out for us.

Dunno how Wexford were underdogs today. They were scoring bombs from miles out and the O'Connors are fantastic players. They deserved the win and their fans are great supporters tbf.

Anyone know what Coyne did to get sent off?

Thought the ref had a poor game!! Wexford deserving winners however.

Am kind of glad they are knocked out with giving a spirited performance. Focus needs to be on training and getting into shape for leinster championship.

Happened in front of me so I'd love to know was it shown on tv? Ref brought the play back for a free, ball had already gone into the corner Wexford player went to pick it up Coyne seemed to try and flick it away from him and caught him. If that's all it was it seemed harsh.

i dont know im not that down about it. no way i could see us doing another all ireland and league double . few weeks out of limelight wont do us any harm at all before championship. plenty to work on obviously . but 2018 is all about trying to retain all ireland for this bunch of players .

Most worrying thing for me was how a back line that literally gobbled up every ball that landed on them last year were beaten up a stick today. And by a team who got no change from our backline last year. Daithi will shore things up but there seemed to be none of the fearless aggressive fielding of last year.

Argh I wouldn't get overly dramatic, Wexford would be way ahead of Galway in terms of training and conditioning so far.

There's not a hope Galway won't get top 3 in Leinster so it's a long year to go yet. As a result there's little point in going gung-ho so early, especially after such a long, draining season. Of course it's to be expected that lads will take a little longer to click into gear.

However, Concannon seems to be the only real new find up front, so there is a worrying lack of depth up there.

Bit of a nothing match but good win for the footballers in Kildare today considering they rested a lot of players. Kildare were already down but had a decent side out. Also good to see Michael Daly back. Came on a sub.

    Starting team was

    Lavelle
    E Wynne
    Kyne
    D Wynne
    O'Donnell
    Duane
    Bradshaw
    Duggan
    Flynn
    Brannigan
    Kelly
    E Finnerty
    P Sweeney
    Armstrong
    Cunningham

Kildare were absolutely awful though and were missing both Flynn and feely.

Thought Armstrong was brilliant for Galway. Lavelle and Sean Kelly were impressive too. Daly did very well for a guy just back.

There is a good bit of competition for places in the panel now. Whatever happens v Dublin, Galway should be very satisfied with this league campaign.
