Evan and Dhinor come to halt after rolling into a side vent. The lava they met on their way down rushed over the field, leaving them untouched. They continue drilling through and emerge on the volcano's northern slope.

Dhinor's arm is a cooked mess, the pain almost unbearable.

She comms the local emergency services requesting a medical emergency evacuation, on the slopes of Mount Whateverit'scalled, the 'sploding mountain.

As the K'Kree drifts off Nestor comms everyone: "Sound off, who's still alive and who need help?"
She checks the nearby Seneca and sees that he is still breathing so administers a dose of painkillers before returning to the Bakleth and doing a full body scan. The medkit allows her to wanjangle bits of him back into place.

Nestor's suit issues her a critical warning. The heat of the lava flow is beginning to overwhelm the coolant systems. The others save Verne begin to sweat and gasp.

OOC: Nestor -4 to all actions, everybody else except Verne -2. Verne unaffected.

Part of the upper crater of the mountain collapses, exposing a lake with a small island. Even more important, visible on the small island within the lake is the scout ship.

The ground begins to shake violently. Nestor knows an eruption is imminent.

Glenn can sense were Dhinor & Evan is, but now the lake is visible he thinks that flying to the ship might be a better plan, if he can get it flying he could use it to get everyone out of this mess. He takes a second and then decides...

Glenn casts his mind over the mountain. He finds Evan and Dhinor on the opposite side of the mountain. His remote viewing of the scout ship reveals the fusion plants are still working and the crystal iron shielding intact.

He quickly comms everyone, 'guys the ship is over on that island. If this beast is about to blow is there any point trying to get to it? It doesn't have a jump drive but it should be able to get us out of here using it's [OOC: I want to say sub-warp?] drives. It might be our best bet at survival'

[OOC: not sure of the strength of Verne actually, would he be able to drag/carry the human?]

OOC: Yeah easily. It's the other way round with the drives, confusing because M-drive would make you think it's special, but it's the sub-warp one.

Dhinor doesn't respond; all that exists in his world right now is the searing pain of crispy fried arm.
