    Get the popcorn folks

The gaggle of usual anti Catholic posters will be along shortly! Its almost a drinking game at this stage. All onboard the outrage train! Choo choo!

    No, just anti child abuse.

    Get the POPEcorn folks

Dude or dudette, you could be on to a serious winner there. No matter what people think or say about this visit, serious money is going to be made from it.
Its been reported that his visit will cost Ireland €20 million. If thats true, its shameful.

That can't be right, surely? How can it cost that much. I would have thought that the majority will provide their services voluntarily.

    No, just anti child abuse.

So your campaigning for a huge increase in spending on family services then?

What did Ratzinger do wrong? I always thought him as an intelligent and respectful man...going on the little i've read of his writings.

He was fine in ways, I happened to be at St Peters for one of his outdoor weekly masses and he came across as being warmer than I expected. I wouldn't disagree at all with 'intelligent' as a description. Not so sure on respectful. In general I felt he was too old-school, the ultimate hardnosed conservative.
The new guy seems a breath of fresh air* in comparison to JP2 and Benedict. Probably should have got it the previous time, a lot of reports had him as 'runner-up'.

Would the Pope give you and the Zetor a tow out of the slunks in the bog, or hold the jack when you're pulling a calf from a cow?

    He would in me hole.

Ah sure manys the day the pope got stuck in the bog trying to draw out a lock of turf himself.hes a hoor for overfilling the trailer.hes earned the nickname axle pope from sinking the Massey.
Never once needed a tow though.he lites a small candle on the dash and a couple of prayers and she pulls herself out every time amidst plumes of Black smoke.

Will you go along to see him? My atheist neighbour is just like you and she is going to try her best to go and see him. If it's an all ticket affair, they'll be harder to get than Adele and GAA final tickets put together.

I probably wouldn't be comfortable denying a place to someone who might get something more spiritual out of it to be honest.

Pope Francis knows Dublin very well given he lived in Dublin for a few months as he spent time with the Jesuits in Dublin.

Head of the organisation which had massive amounts of blood on it's hands.may folk never forget that.

How many kids will he need this time?

    Hilarious!

Tell me how many kids do all the other sexual abusers outside of the church require? Given that the church perpetuated such a teeny tiny % of all sexual abuse?

I'm not for one minute condoning it (all rapists, abusers should feel the full force of the law), I'm not religious but I am sick and tired on everyone jumping on the anti church bandwagon cause it's the in thing to do.

I wish people would concentrate their efforts on all the father, brothers, uncles, who carry out the majority of sexual abuse but I guess that just isn't cool enough, is is?

So you agree with the mass rapping of children by priests?
Is that part of your faith?

Ah but it's likely they didn't have free reign over schools and communities to pick their victims out like sweets, usually for decades at a time, with little fear of any reprisal.

One exception might be some of the Pakistani gangs over in northern England, who used community centers in various towns and cities, as widely reported in the media.

    Rowan Atkinson did it well.
(Not the exact sketch I had in mind but this is what it was based on.)

He is rumoured to be making a visit to the site of the new Lidl store in Fortunestown and blessing it.

I assume he will do a motorcade through the city centre at some in the Popemobile (maybe more than once). I might go along and see that.

Couldn't they have held it down the country or some place people believe in this cult?

What makes you think people down the country want anything to do with him or the rest of his crawthumpers?

That train has being chugging along since the clergy started abusing and killing kids. Long train.
