With the rules about having the Month of April free for clubs when would the league final take place ?
If I were a betting man I would say that some rules are treated more like guidelines.

Maybe just leave April to County teams have the All Irelands finished up by the end of July and let the clubs go at it from August to November.

its just getting out of hand for clubs now. At least this way is the year is split in 2 and club players know when there games take place. Also dont have to interfere with county teams

    Too sensible, will never happen.

Glad some of the younger lads are rested. It’s hard going on them in very testing conditions.

Just on the pitches. With the first rd of the club on April 1st .are any club pitches open yet.it would make since to call off the first rd .teams need a chance to get in games

Not surprisingly his gone for blanchfield and richie reid there's a bit more size to them.Is mossy injured?browne deserves another run im a bit surprised to see him change the mf but maher seems to have improved his finishing so hopefully he can chip in with a few points.
Richie reid is not a corner foward altho positions don't mean much but at least himself and walsh are getting another run after their clare performance.
Happy to see that Sheehan is still on the panel.

Limerick - Clare fallen foul of the snow now too. I hope TG4 will still televise the matches it was planning to.

Any chance tg4 show the game now?

    Poor enough first half.
Not fast enough moving the ball and very sloppy defending to leave in the goal.
Midfield being shoved around. Would expect Lester to be brought in to strengthen it up.
Maher poor at left half forward. A little better on the right.
    Blanchfield poor too.
Hopefully better fare in the 2nd half

TJ sounds like he's having another big game. Leahy sounds like he's doing OK too. For anyone who is there, is it more Offaly having raised their game or Kilkenny playing badly?

    48 mins played: Offaly 1-11 KK 0-16

I realise commentary is an extremely difficult job. Like, really really hard. But listening to a game on KCLR is so painful.

I'm listening to it on Midlands 103 because the KCLR stream is down (not unusual) and I was too lazy to go and find my earphones for the aerial. In fairness, their excitement is quite infectious. I've never had much time for Offaly but it'd be hard not to will them on with this commentary if it wasn't Kilkenny they were playing.

Was that John Hoyne? Holy Jesus give us a few words over the course of the hour

The problem with KCLR's commentary now is it sounds completely disinterested. There used to be a fella who was half decent and would get very excited at times. He does stuff on TV now I think with the likes of Premier Sports or Eir.

Probably no harm to the rebuilding process. After beating Waterford, Tipperary and Wexford the heads could have started to inflate a bit, this should bring everyone back down to Earth. I've also had a feeling for a while that Offaly are slowly building up. They put it up to us in the Walsh Cup and looked decent against Dublin in the first round of the league. They had a poor enough rest of the league but that's often part of building and they've put in a good show today. Not saying I expect them to be winning Leinsters and certainly not All Irelands anytime soon but I think the days of teams steamrollering them are coming to a halt.

With all due respect to Adrain Ronan, who I have no doubt knows his stuff, but he is a woeful commentator. Struggles to get his sentences out more often than not. Thank God, Brendan and Michael will be available for the Championship

Couldn't attend due to a family event but heard bits and pieces but it sounded that offally were full value and fair play to them.
It sounded that tj and walter were the difference.i expected offally to give us a rattle today and we were lucky to get out with a win.
Donnelly got 2 points when he came on which is a positive.
