Dhinor also comms the rest of the group and tells him of his success and asks them to meet him at the coordinates of the plane.

Finally, before leaving town, he apologizes to the owners of the trashed rooms and explains the previous crew were bad eggs, and he will ask for compensation to be sent as soon as possible (while leaving details of how and from whom somewhat vague).

Bakleth drains his wine and follows, slightly drunk and in the mood for some K'Kree mischief.

As he exits the bar he looks for any places that might be selling meat. Time to give them a K'Kree style lecture.

Several shops are selling the local megafish, the Brakaar.

One guy in particular is cutting them in the open, the scent filling Bakleth's nostrils.

He learns from the temp-cop that only one such case has occurred in the last few weeks. The crew of a scout ship who passed through and were arrested for several misdemeanors.

The radio equipment they tried to sell is actually for sale in the shopping district in Central.

OOC: Central is the town Verne and Glenn are currently in.

Verne has some of the coffee and biscuits and shrugs at Glenn 'I was going to suggest that we head off now that we know the general direction of the ship but seeing as how this Minister is on the way I think we should wait to greet him. It is the polite thing to do and at the very least it might help smooth over any trouble that the last team caused in this place'.

Will you meet us at the plane? I have a feeling we are going to need you to look at the autopilot or nav logs to work our way back to the ship'

Verne responds, 'Glenn and I are about to meet with a local representative. It would be rude to cut our meeting short. Secure the plane and make sure it's not harbouring any local animals. We'll be along behind you as soon as we can.'

The Varger, seeing she is human and the confidence and sincerity with which the request is phrased nods and takes the address.

The walk is pretty harsh, without the filter system he'd be dead. Without his Vacc training he'd not have known how to adjust it to the changes in the wind. He travels up and down rocks and boulders for a short while, before a descent down a cliff face a kilometer high onto a large beach. Handling a low gravity descent down a cliff like that made him glad he took Zero-G training in the Navy. The plane lies nose first in the sand.

The plane is a standard light air raft, capable of carrying about twenty people at a push.
The door is somewhat rusted shut.

"They were up to being Jackasses that's what they were up to, glad to see you're not one of 'em." he stands up untensing his muscles. The man had clearly been looking for a fight.

Alex's commap indicates the locations of the others. Dhinor is a good bit out into the wilderness.

Dhinor attempts to open the door.

OOC: Using the access panel or whatever first, then trying to force it open with his hands, then trying to pry it open with some debris, and if none of that works, using The Negotiator. Not sure how we handle trying in that order....btw Bakleth is with me right? Did he make it down the cliff?

Bakleth, having had his fun with the fishmonger is with Dhinor.

He smirks at the human trying to open the door.

'Leave that to the professionals' he states and motions for Dhinor to stand aside.

'I didn't become a legendary thief among my kind for no reason.'

Bakleth examines the door to see can the lock be picked, or failing that - for a weak point in the craft door.

We'll that doesn't seem safe, Alex checks what is listed in that direction on his commap.
Alex finishes up his drink and heads to follow out to where Dhinor is headed. Why would he be that far out?

    Nestor comms Dhinor and Bakleth:
"Any luck with the flyer? Is it airworthy? I'm staying here for the moment to take a look at the radio the previous crew sold. If I can access the datalog I might find out who these guys used as a fence. That could lead us to a nice source of material for the taking.

Glenn also greets the minister... "Thank you for meeting with us. As my friend says, we will need to discuss your offer with our Captain. Can you confirm that the ship location is easy to get to, and if not that you can get us there, before I contact our Captain?

As he was talking Glenn also checked the Minister's mind to make sure that the Minister does know the location of the ship, and isn't try to cheat them.

Evan continues to look around for a mechanic, a salvage yard, a raft rental joint, a porter - anyone who might give him a line on where the Walstoneers were moving the genuine scout parts, and anyone who remembers a shipwrecked crew with a roboarmed captain; he'll avoid showing pictures to anyone who feels crime-adjacent if it feels like it might spook them. He'll also see if he can get a look at a planetary survey (running back to ask Dagonets crew if they haven't left) to see if there are viable craters around. If he gets decent Intel from reasonably clean people he'll tip moderately. He'll also ask about renting/buying a Raft. He'll try not to call any helpful Vargr "good boy" but no promises.
Talking to the shadiest characters Walston harbours (which is pretty meager, moderate tax dodgers) he manages to find that most of the sold parts made there way here to Startown from a settlement in the deep south of the island known as Salbarii, which sits on the slope of a massive volcano of the same name.

A bit of trickery gets some of the shop keepers to reveal that some of the gear was salvaged rather than being sold by the previous ship crew. Meaning the ship itself is near the town.

Planetary maps uploaded by Dagonet to their personal comm systems reveal a large crater on the Eastern slope of the mountain large enough to contain a ship.

Unfortunately in his wanderings he pieces together enough about the stolen parts to know that a significant amount of the M-drive has been stripped out. Though no Jump Drive components have been stolen thankfully.

The Minister's mind betrays some obvious surface level facts. He knows where the ship is, he is being unfaithful to his wife and he wants to take an offworld holiday.

"Easy....well I won't lie, not really. Quite difficult actually."

OOC: Just a quick question. From reading the above re Evan talking to people, I know that the ship isn't in great shape. But Glenn doesn't know that yet, right? Just separating the player from the character, right? To clarify, Glenn knows it's 'wrecked' from the Minister, but he doesn't know the M Drive has been stripped, right?
