I'm sure I read an article ages ago where it was standard practice for the British Army to use the grill...as a grill in the field (not sure if it was part of the spec issued by the BA to LR)

and to keep with the photos, here a couple of youngtimers in Greystones at the weekend.

The S124 used to be mine and sold twice since I sold it! It was lovely when I owned it!

I thought that too (4-doors were only launched in '81), but it could well be a legit body swap - chassis and body should fit without mods, and the early bodies did corrode badly.

Am I missing something, or does the import plate not signify that the "'re shell " was most likely done in the UK?
Far more chance of it being properly done there then here, to be honest.

It's quite possible the donor vehicle was imported. Its an older import with that low number.
