It does ship to Ireland. Got mine a few weeks ago. Delivery is about 6 euros, can take a while though. Only paid €185 for it so can't complain though.

Check again, link you gave also has the red warning!

This product can not be shipped to Ireland . More information

Mine arrived today from Honorbuy, ordered Sunday night. It might have been delivered yesterday if they hadn't replaced Limerick in my address with Dublin resulting in the package arriving in the Dublin DHL depot instead of Shannon.

All I need now is a nono SIM.

Strange. I was logged in at the time so maybe you need to create an Amazon.es account first.

I used my normal Amazon account. Didn't need to sign up again.

I've decided on this phone but Amazon don't have the black in stock. Where should I buy it from so?

    cheers.

do I get any sort of warranty with these Chinese crowds?

Buy it from a German/Spanish or Italian warehouse, then no issue with customs etc.

    "Vendido y enviado por Electpro."

The Supplier you have here is "Electro" not Amazon. That is why the say they won't ship to Ireland.

They offer a 1 year non manufacturer warranty since this is a gray import from China.

My own experience is that they are slow, pickie and very reluctant to give refunds. Obviously varies by supplier.

You need to be able to live with a backup phone which the repair process kicks in.

Then again 60 eurots is a hefty premium for a warranty.

Just ordered the gold from geekbuying. €202 with express insured shipping.

Have an s7 at the moment but it's knackered. Reckon this will stack up pretty well against it.

A couple of guys in work have them, and love them. Performance on them is very good, and a fraction of the cost of an S8/S9

    great.

Fed up of flagship phones and contracts. I bought nearly every Galaxy S but the S7 has been a poor one for me, performance degraded very quickly and is about as fragile as a China cup.
Then you have to insure them as they cost the bones of a grand for a new one.

Yea, I totally agree. Looking at the three plans Vodafone have, it is one expensive phone over a 2 year contract.

    €529.99 upfront + €40x24 = 1,489.99 over two years
    €299.99 upfront + €60x24 = 1,739.99 over two years
    € 99.99 upfront + €80x24 = 2,019.99 over two years

I'm just waiting on my own contract to expire, then I' moving to Sim only and getting one of these phones. Rather have the money in my pocket.

I think people get carried away with phones like the S9. At the end of the day, majority of the stuff they say the phone does, people will never use.

Wow that is actually crazy. Didn't know the contract pushed the price up that much, are people stupid enough to actually give that money

Anyone have issues with these Chinese android phones and notifications. I've had 2 or 3 different devices and don't get notified of WhatsApp or viber unless I go into the app itself. Frustrating does not even sum it up

Phone is really nice, quick question for those who are owners, is there a way to turn off peeking with messaging services?

You can set it when setting up your lock screen.
It asked me what setting I wanted.

Yea, lol, check out the S9 thread on here somewhere.... people can't wait to pre-order, and shell out a small fortune on something that they will just use for messaging, facebook, and pictures and the odd game.

I will never go contract again. You can get a very good form for a fraction of the cost, that will do everything you need it too.

Just got my Mi A1 at lunch time. Im pretty blown away at what you can get for €200. It kills my galaxy s7 dead, the only thing I can see inferior is the screen. It looks a little washed the bright colours in comparison but its bright, clear and crisp.

UI is so clean and clutter free. Phone is very fast, fingerprint at the back is brilliant and more responsive than the front one on the S7.

Camera, is far better than I expected. Better than the S7 IMO, light doesn't bleed into the photo near as much.

    Really happy with this purchase.

Got mine today. A super buy. One question though. I have never had an Android device before. After setting everything up I keep getting a message telling me that messenger is running in the background. What's the story with that?
