Is it based on a true story?

    No, I don't think so.

It is set in two time periods and reflects Argentinian history and political situation but I think the actual case in the plot is fiction.

Veronica is OK... it's no '[REC]', let's put it that way.

Yep, still the right one I was on about. Supposedly making people switch off half way through but highly overrated unfortunately :o

Season 3 of iZombie is available I see. I was nearly sure they where just going to forget about us here in Ireland and not bother to put it up.

Finished it last night... really enjoyed the human perspective from the police during a turbulent time for them nationally. Well worth a watch.

Looks like there's an awful lot of BBC content leaving at the end of the month. 50ish titles including League of Gentleman, Inside No.9, The Office, War and Peace, Louis Theroux, loads of nature docs and other things.

Where can I see a full list? Or do you just see this through the app?

Jesus, they're losing all of Doctor Who. They've only had the 9th series a few months.

Wonder what the reason is for the all the BBC stuff leaving; it's a good catalogue to have, seems a shame to lose it. They never seemed to have any 'originals' or shows as they aired, so perhaps Netflix prefer partnerships these days

They aren't necessarily leaving, they've been set to expire before. It's probably up for renegotiation.

That date could just be the end of the licence and the BBC & Netflix could renew it the same day or the day after which happens quiet a lot.

If I remember right it happens with all the Channel 4 shows nearly every year.

Watched Mute. I absolutely loved Moon and the trailer for this looked awesome...

I Kind Of liked it but I don’t think it will be everybody’s cup of tea.

Very slow pace. Suppose you could call it a thriller. But it’s the kind of thing to watch if you are at a loose end. I thought it was a bit different and there are some surprises that tie things together.. You could poke holes at bits but if you don’t get too hung up and just go along with our main character I think it’s enjoyable.

Really enjoyed the Theroux and Rudd interactions. Very interesting characters , they certainly were not typecast in this movie!

Sort of reminded me of Kelly who, after Darko did the much less popular Southland tales. I
Actuslly enjoyed southland tales , I think I just have a broad taste in movies!

Fun Fat: Bruce Willis was trying to get a few of the more recent Die Hard Movies called Die Hard: Tears of the Sun. He was fascinated with the name and finally convinced a studio to rename this movie to Tears of the Sun although it doesn't suit the plot or theme :)

And when he got his way....he sued them as he got injured on set I think? That's gratitude :D

Irish film https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poison_Pen_(2014_film) added to Prime Video. (Maybe off-topic but the general streaming thread died because, well, Netflix is the market leader by quite some distance.)

I actually forget about this :pac:

Meant to watch the rest of season 2 of Taken.
All the seasons of X Files are there
Watched episode 1 of a Russian tv series called Sophia
    Have to finish Viking
    To be watched yet:
    The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
    Mozart in the Jungle
    Sneaky Pete
    Bosch

    Also whatever is on All4

It isn't as good as Netflix but it has a few options - their film choices are not great.

Anyone watch Borderliner? Just watched the trailer looks good enough. Not sure what language they are speaking.

Think it's Norwegian. Watched a bit of the first episode, seemed decent. Recognise the lead actor from Marcella.

Looking forward to Jessica Jones 2, the first season was excellent. I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been much hoopla about it though.

I think the flip-side of Netflix really going all-in on the Original Content is that there's a bit of a flood at the moment, becoming an avalanche when you encompass other services like Amazon, Hulu. There's nearly too much content to keep track of in these days of so-called 'Peak TV'; every month there seems to be 2/3 new Netflix shows ...
