Nearly sure the owners came out and said they've no problem with their horses running against each other

Yeah, they've said it repeatedly. They've a history of it too - JLT a couple of years back with Bristal and L'ami, Champion Hurdle last year with Footpad and Sceau, and likely Stayers Hurdle with Wholestone and L'Ami this year.

Didn't they have a 1-2 in the Triumph a few years back? Can't remember if they'd anything in the supreme that year, if they did it might not have warranted splitting Top Notch & Peace and Co

Lami Serge went off 2nd favorite in the supreme for them.

Good to Soft ground is still the most likley ground, just checked and there are two bookies with a market and both are 8/11 on Good to Soft.

I hope I'm wrong because wet festivals are ****e, but I can't see how good can be in the description, personally, unless they are dry from Tuesday through to next Tuesday.

Get your first winner of the week so Slatts :D

It will be very touch and go and the ability of that course to dry out never ceases to amaze me. But it is most certainly not inevitable.

lol great minds etc etc :D 14/1 NRNB is some value, if he was re-directed he would be close to even money.

Great spot. Same owners with Sceau Royal. Cant see them clashing.

The owners already said they wouldn't interfere and they've no problem with them taking eachother on. Footpad runs in the Arkle, of that I'm 100% certain.

It's smart from bet365, people will open accounts to back samcro at 14/1 and once they return the money most will reinvest the funds with them. Samcro is not running in the Supreme people need to forget this idea.

lol its an obvious mistake on their behalf, not everything is a big bookie conspiracy!

Just opened an account to take that 14's..

Look at Racing Post's last tweet 'Heavy could feature in going description'.

Also told that Gordon Elliott said at a preview that Samcro will run in the Supreme if it's soft.

I had €30 last week and after this debate here I talked myself into another €45

Took some of that 14s, heavily invested for the Ballymore so worth it at nrnb. If he turns up here it will be because it's soft or heavy and surely goes of evs or less

Just took max €31.25. Rest gone to a trader

Yeah, but the O'Learys decide where he runs no matter what Elliott says. Elliott wanted to run Don Cossack in the 2015 Gold Cup, but he ran in the Ryanair because that's where the O'Learys wanted him. Make no mistake about who makes the calls with their horses. It's not the trainer.

That was three years ago. Gordy is a different beast entirely these days.

Point still stands. They've had similar situations with other trainers.
Mouse Morris gave them their first festival winner in the Gold Cup, yet they wouldn't let him run First Lieutenant in the same race despite his protestations. They even did the same with Mullins, who tells all his other owners where their horses are running.
He'd the same situation as Morris/Ellott with Valseur Lido. Lost the argument.
They call the shots. End of.

You can hardly compare Samcro to Valseur Lido?!

What do you think Eddie O'Leary is going to say 'Sorry Gordon, he runs in the Ballymore or we're taking the horse off you'. And send him where? To Mouse Morris?

I know a fella who works at Mouses and he was telling me about Eddie O'Leary a few weeks ago and I asked is he like that with Gordon and he laughed at me.

I didn't compare Samcro to anything. I'm making the point that these owners call the shots with regard to where their horses run.

I never suggested they'd take horses out of Elliott's (that was you), but on that point, they'd no issue taking everything out of Mullins yard so I wouldn't say it's as far fetched as you think.

You're trying to ridicule what I'm saying, yet I've given you numerous examples to prove my point. Can you give me one to back up your argument?

And go where with them, back to WPM with cap in hand??

You can take the horses off Willie Mullins when you have Gordon Elliott to replace him but where are you going to go when you take them off Gordon?

Ah I'm not trying to ridicule you at all. Like you say you have numerous examples, I have none. All I'm just saying is if Gordon wants Samcro in the Supreme, he will run in the Supreme.
