It'd hard to believe this is actually taken in Ireland. It's what we are used to seeing from Norway or any other snowy country.

I know, and Sallins of all places

I want to take a timelapse of the snow but I haven't got a single window in the house not coated in snow...

Relentless snow all day in Clondalkin. Wind has just gotten up and visibility now nearly zero.

I'm in Ballyfermot and I've over 3 foot drifts in the garden. It's crazy. I had to dig out a trench to get some coal!
What are you complaining about? Your own coal mine in your garden - such a luxury!

Heavy now. Nice. Cars getting a dusting again now. Roofs, bushes etc already dusted.

I'd say additional 2cms so far on snow covered areas.

Do you think laois could see some more this today, not had anything other than snizzle since last night.

Why isn't Waterford under the red warning, terrible conditions here, literally snowed in,Wexford is only a few miles away and they are under the red alert.

Roads that were cleared going white again near Santry. Finer grains helping it along.

Absolutely bucketing down snow here in south Kerry since about 1pm I think. Heaviest I've seen since the event started.

I'm right in the shadow of the Wicklow mountains on the radar ,been very light stuff all day. Will the winds change to give us more of the proper stuff ?

There has been a slight shift in wind direction to my eyes and it has started moving away from Wales, I expect perception to improve later

Looks like West and NW are going to get even more snow tonight, have had over 24 hours in Galway city at this stage, has to be most we have ever had especially with more to come if the Hirlam is right.

I don't understand how Waterford isn't included in the updated red warning. It has been snowing here since 8am yesterday morning and no sign of letting up. The road is still covered in a huge amount of snow.

Probably heavier snow here in South Dublin than there was during the previous nights, on the basis that there would have been a lot more had it snowed that heavily.

Waterford downgraded to Orange even though its still.snowing... any of the experts here can you see the snow turning to rain later?? Hard to believe at the moment still snowing mad..significant snow on the ground..

It's not really a downgrade for those with orange/yellow warnings. It's a new warning.
