Most wintry start to Spring/March I can remember!

-3.7c DP -6.9c atm here in Dublin 16. Overnight low of 4.4c. 14cm of level snow on the ground. Around 3cm of new/fresh snow overnight.

Fairly continuous snow showers in Inishowen. Just checked ME radar nothing showing. Are they ignoring the north? Useless feckers as netweather shows it clearly.

What a start to March/Spring at Grange! Lots of snow showers with strong easterly winds and a maximum of only -1.4c. That is my first and only March ice day that I've recorded.

Snow/blizzard really getting going now in Dublin 16. Heavy fine snow with strong winds. Had 10cm of level snow on the ground at 6pm. Now at 18cm (on the level) with higher drifts. -0.7c DP -1.4c atm.

I'm not far from you by the sounds of it, definitely 10cm, more on one since of garden, I'd say closer to 20cm. Still snowing too.

Only light snow grains falling/blowing in the wind now in Dublin 16. -0.7c DP -1.5c atm.

At 0900 recorded 26cm of level snow (was 27cm around 0600).

In 2010, the max snow depth recorded at 0900 was 27cm.

D14. Overnight snowfall about 4-5 cm. Some much deeper drifting. None falling at the moment, only wind borne existing stuff. In the last hour temp went above freezing and my car I cleared earlier is wet and any remaining bits of snow are sliding off.

Despite temp only reaching a max of 0.0c today, prior to the latest snow, there was a lot of dripping from gutters, but, as a consequence, some lovely icicles!

Did a measure...

Recorded 27cm at 0600
Down to 26cm at 0900
Now 33cm at 1700

2010 max snow depth (of 27cm) now exceeded.

By the way, I use the same (sheltered) spot in my back garden for all my snow measurements (same spot as in 2010) where there is always level snow/no drifts.

-0.4c DP -1.1c atm. Snow still coming down.
