Did I miss a big update? just popped into the shop in Galway and its mayhem, no bread, milk running low, soup gone. Gone a bit OTT now.
I expect some snow but this is bizarre behaviour.

Few flakes falling here in Foxford, Mayo.

Came down heavy enough for a little in D9 - graupel built up however once it turned to snow it stopped sticking and now the ground bar grasses & roofs is just v.wet. Needs to get a little colder before anything good starts building up.

Heavy hail dropping in D16. Melting a little, but painting the roofs white and the sky looks very much like snow

I think I see CBs just off the Irish sea. Can't take a pic right now.

Starting now the last few minutes in Kilpedder, Wicklow. Seems to be sticking to the grass, and a bit to concrete.

Fantastic whiteout there, hopefully a foretaste of what’s to come. Shame there doesn’t seem to be anything beyond that shower for now.

Apparently it snowed for a few mins in Galway and it wasn't expected. Hence the panic I assume.

Very grey ominous looking clouds pushing over us here in Dublin 15 and gone very dark here all of a sudden. Blizzard conditions here now in D15. Went from no snow to whiteout conditions in 3 minutes and no visibilty
