Snow came down pretty fast in Dublin city centre, got a nice covering. On route home now, let's see how long this takes!

After getting really dark in Celbridge...... snow on the way ❄️❄️❄️

Why are there no showers bubbling up over the Irish Sea on the radars the moment? Will they get started later? BBC News there was saying not as much snow fell as a lot of people were expecting, as it was patchy in areas. I hope the same won’t happen here in Dublin!

    Seriously?

    Look up friction

It’s melting in areas within friction. That’s because of above zero temperatures. Tomorrow is supposedly an ice day.

Here come the clearer skies. Mmmm just when I don't want them.

Ok, that didn't last long, a big cumulonimbus cloud on its way to me at this moment.

Starting to come down heavy now in celbridge.
This is it. Let's go beast!!!!

Just beware that the melt on pavements early in the night is likely to freeze as temperatures are near 0 now and only going one direction.

Snowfall later on should settle on top quite easily though providing some grip.

Carrigaline right now - clouds 615pm.jpg

Dark clouds rolling in after clear enough, sunny day

And darker than that now .. even in the few mins since taking

According to Weather Channel snow radar it kicks of at 7:30pm here for 2 hrs .. interesting to see if that happens

Fast-moving clouds above Dublin city earlier...

    Seagull looking concerned...

Things suddenly begin to look a bit more Russian ...

    Aftermath...

Was over in a flash. Sky is clear now again and the moon is out in all its glory. Looking forward to the main event! :D

Decent snow falling for the last 20 minutes in Leixlip. Nice grey sky out there which indicates it will stay this way for a while yet. And....it's schtickin'!!

Citywest watch is back again and I can confirm snow is falling. The carpark is v white and my journey to the city centre is destined to be a slow one filled with adventure.
