Seven Seconds didn't get a good rating on IMDB. Will give it a chance though.

    Our Planet

Planet Earth team head to Netflix for epic new series Our Planet
The team behind the hugely successful and respected nature documentaries The Blue Planet, Planet Earth, and Frozen Planet are moving from their previous home of the BBC to Netflix, for their new epic Our Planet.

Alastair Fothergill, whose production company Silverback Films will make the eight-part series, said: “Our Planet is going to raise the bar for natural history landmarks. We will reveal the most amazing sights on Earth and show them in ways they have never been seen before.”

Anyone see this error message before “can not play this title at the moment......” or something similar?

Everything fine on my tv, getting the error on girlfriends tv but was perfect until yesterday. Both LG but different models.

Funny thing is that trailers & season recaps play fine but full episodes don’t work.

    Any ideas?

He has worked for other stations not just the BBC in recent years including Sky & Watch in the UK.

I would imagine he is a freelancer and can pick and choose who he works with.

Watched Eye in the sky tonight. Really good movie. Great cast. Maybe in hindsight, not a Saturday night movie though. Still, well worth a watch.

I posted same as you in the Electric Boogaloo thread!!

We were watching it at same time.

Good Time is well worth a watch. Somewhat bleak though.

ah lads, someone watch Mute there and tell me the reviews are wrong please :pac:

It's got a dedicated thread here - my comment from that thread is below:
    Fysh wrote: »
I watched it last night, then read that Guardian review - the film is flawed in several ways, but that review is a good example of the "IT MUST BE AWESOME OR APPALLING, THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND", which is made worse by the reviewer's evident fondness for needlessly hyperbolic adverbs.

The film looks good, though it is basically Berlin In The Blade Runner 2049 Future. Paul Rudd & Justin Theroux put in good performances (Rudd channeling a lot of Jason Lee in My Name Is Earl, Theroux looking a fair bit like Marco in Die Hard), and Robert Sheehan & Noel Clarke put in a good turns in small supporting roles.

The narrative is...a bit muddled, at points. There are a couple of bits that felt like bad storytelling - Spoiler: the out-of-nowhere rewind to show us Cactus killing Naadirah's kidnapping and the POV bit of her death, but also the opening sequence establishing Leo's background, which is a pity as there are some nice touches in the film. The biggest problem it has is Skarsgard - the role has no dialogue and therefore relies on facial and bodily expression, and Skarsgard is not a good enough actor to pull this off (though perhaps he wasn't given much to work with). Even the best actor wouldn't be able to turn the brief screentime shared between Leo and Naadirah into something truly compelling, which is bad in terms of plot propulsion, but a better performance in Leo's role could at least have made for a character that was engaging to watch. And because we get Leo's quest story intertwined with the story of Cactus and Duck, it runs for longer than is necessary (with the bloat being, oddly, around Leo's not-especially-interesting story, despite him being the protagonist).

Overall I would say it's a flawed film, averaging a 5-6/10 because it flits back and forth between being better and worse than that score. If you can, watch it on a projector or as large a screen as you have, the visuals and design are its strongest elements. The score by Clint Mansell was okay but disappointingly unmemorable (unlike Moon's fantastic score). Put it this way - flawed though it is, it didn't make me want to turn it off within 10 minutes the way Cloverfield Paradox did...

If it ever got a non-Netfllix release, I bet a enterprising faneditor could take scissors to it and craft a better version of the same story. At this point, I wonder if Jones actually needs either a writing partner or a bolshier editor to work with...

Watched the first episode of Ugly Delicious last night, pretty goo so I'll follow up on that.

The first one was about some chef's going around the world talking about pizza. How pizza is made in Japan is eye opening!

Good show. I found the pizza delivery driver running to the doors "in case the customer is looking" really pitiful though.

I'd recommend Narcos and El chapo. Also watched stranger things which was alright but worth a watch.

I watched The Siege of Firebase Gloria last night with R.Lee Ermy (the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket).

Basically a Vietnam war film set at the beginning of the Tet Offensive in 1968. Without getting into the story too much its quite similar to Zulu and The Siege of Jadotville.

It's no Platoon or Apocalypse Now, but not the worst either for a cheap Australian production.

Nope, not in Ireland. We don't get it because RTÉ have first airing rights despite not even airing the third season.

Jaysus; right, just checked Netflix there and Season 3 is still not visible. Goddamnit RTÉ. If your social media manager is reading this, you guys suck.

Tried to watch Mute last night. I usually enjoy most sorts of scifi but I had to turn it off after 15 or 20 minutes, there was nothing keeping me there
