Not sure if that was an excellent or gammy finish.

True, he's worked like a dog though.

Grazie Milan (for the second time this weekend)... Not that we'll finish in the CL places but it's nice to hope...

Fantastic finish for a full back!!

Im shocked. I never saw this Milan team have such a turn around. I was berating them constantly and laughing at the Gattuso appointment but I was totally wrong.

Gattuso has turned this team into an unbelievable team. If he was there from day one, this Milan team would be in he CL spots and maybe even challenging for the title

    I never saw this coming.

You will be supporting Ac tomorrow.

It's funny how things turn, early in the season it would be a piss easy win for Roma but this Ac Milan team under Gattuso is a different beast altogether.

    Different beast...

They are going to destroy a low moral Inter team

Yeah it's weird, if you told me at the start of the season I'd be optimistic coming into March with us sitting in 7th I'd call myself delusional but such is the turn around and passion of late I'd fear nobody right now.

The Kessié im seeing of late is the same I saw under Atlanta where he was a beast.

    Such a talent

I'm no fan of OTT celebrations at the end of a random league game but always seems the way in Calcio

That was a great win for Milán bonaventura and kessie were great, so was Suso. I liked when he made a complete tool out of kolarov.

Romagnoli was superb; the real leader at the back. Just keep it going Rino. Take Arsenal though you may be doing them a big favour.
Btw Duvan Zapata did this today which shouldn't go unnoticed, commentary is from parts unknown. Lol

Fabulous player. In fairness, his brother isn't too shabby either but gets no attention on him. Can't see Sergej staying in Italy to be honest unless it was Juventus who bought him. I don't know who else could meet the kind of wage demands he potentially has.

Lotito has already refused a 70m bid last summer, if he goes it'll be for a huge amount.

But yeah, he's an absolute beast.
And Immobile seems to be back on track too :)

Cagliari vs Napoli kicks off in twenty minutes. Team news:
Cagliari XI: Cragno; Romagna, Ceppitelli, Castan; Farago, Barella, Padoin, Lykogiannis; Joao Pedro, Pavoletti, Han.

Napoli XI: Reina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik; Callejon, Mertens, Insigne.

You would expect Napoli to win this one. Can't see Cagliari causing too much problems though Pavoletti is strong aerially.

1-0 Napoli. Lovely play from Allan down the right and he finds Callejon who drives it low into the corner. Harsh on Cagliari who have played well in these opening thirty minutes.

Update: 2-0 just before half-time. Mertens with a slight touch that takes it past Cragno.

Half-Time: Napoli with a two goal lead. Cagliari were doing well for the first half hour or so and Pavoletti was causing some problems but Napoli have been much better following the first goal, and the second goal has knocked the stuffing out of the home side. Napoli worthy of the two goal lead and should see this out now.

The snow situation actually worked out well for Napoli it seems. Having a four point lead now is psychologically huge.

I'd say they'll be hoping Juve progress in CL.

That's a good point. Huge few weeks ahead for Juventus.

3-0. Lovely goal from Napoli. Another great passing move with a great finish from Hamsik.

Update: And now Napoli have a penalty for a handball. And Insigne scores for 4-0. Twenty odd minutes to go.

Update: And Mario Rui makes it 5-0 with a beautiful free-kick. The last kick of the game in fact.

Full-Time and that was a super performance from Napoli. Some lovely football and the attacking players all impressed but Allan also put in a great showing in midfield and was key to the first goal. Pressure on Juve now away to Lazio in their next game. Napoli have a tough game themselves home to Roma.

Not as huge as postponing a match when a rake of your players are injured and playing it at a time when they'll be fit.

Are we really supposed to believe that the most modern stadium in Italy doesn't have effective undersoil heating?

I'm not sure if sure trolling or believe this but if you saw pics from the area you'd know why it was cancelled.

Anyway the constant Juve conspiracy agenda is getting tiresome.

I'm not sure that accusing someone of trolling is helpful to the conversation. Tell me, how do you follow Italian football, through Italian and therefore ingraining yourself in it or superficially via BT Sport or Eir because your incredulity smacks of naivety? Every football supporter in Italy knows the story...

A smattering of snow does not make a field unplayable when undersoil heating is used. The pitch looked awful yes, but do you seriously believe that it would have been in that state had the undersoil heating been used?

Even if you only follow Italian football through English language based, Premier League biased media a smattering of knowledge of Italian footballing history should still tell you enough.

Yeah no need for the condecsending rubbish please. There were serious blizzards leading up to kick off that made the pitch unplayable. What do you think under soil heating does? It doesn't make the pitch a furnace lol. Your post smacks of stupidity and borderline insanity. Show me one post or article anywhere that has claimed this was a conspiracy due to injuries. I think you might struggle lol.

They also have to consider fans travelling to and from the stadium. Don't think there's any Juve bias on this one.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭Rekop dog

They didn't even have too many injuries lol. 4 from what I can see which is probably average for this time of the season.

De Sciglio who isn't a regular.

Cuadrado and Bernadeschchi who are used in rotation and Higuain.

Could have fielded a really strong XI of:

Gianluigi Buffon; Stephan Lichtsteiner, Medhi Benatia, Giorgio Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Claudio Marchisio, Miralem Pjanic, Blaise Matuidi; Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala; Mario Mandzukic

If you think they purposely postponed the game with that side available to them you're firmly in the nuts category.

I'm not sure which is more ludicrous, you complaining about condescending rubbish straight after you'd called me a troll or using sarcasm about undersoil heating and calling me stupid and insane.

With reference to your very witty challenge about me finding posts and articles on a conspiracy... hmm...
