They didn't even have too many injuries lol. 4 from what I can see which is probably average for this time of the season.

De Sciglio who isn't a regular.

Cuadrado and Bernadeschchi who are used in rotation and Higuain.

Could have fielded a really strong XI of:

Gianluigi Buffon; Stephan Lichtsteiner, Medhi Benatia, Giorgio Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Claudio Marchisio, Miralem Pjanic, Blaise Matuidi; Douglas Costa, Paulo Dybala; Mario Mandzukic

If you think they purposely postponed the game with that side available to them you're firmly in the nuts category.

So Luca Marchegiani who played 243 games for Lazio, 146 for Torino, 66 for Chievo, was capped 9 times for Italy, won a scudetto, 3 Coppe Italia, 2 Supercoppe, a ECWC, a UEFA Supercup, came within a penalty shootout of winning a World Cup, has other honours to his name and now works as a pundit for Sky Sport Italia is nuts. Good to know ;).

They also have to consider fans travelling to and from the stadium. Don't think there's any Juve bias on this one.

The fans were already there. It wasn't like they postponed it in advance.

Yeah because pundits are famously a bright bunch of people. None of what you posted seems to point to your moronic theory that they postponed it due to the horrible injury crisis of a few players.

Anyway I've wasted enough time arguing with a dim conspiracy theorist.

Lol... Luca Marchegiani isn't "bright" because he doesn't agree with what you think and say... Great!

If you'd read what I posted you would have seen they all said it could have been played and some pointed to the convenience of it being postponed.

History has proven time and again that it isn't a "conspiracy theory" but as you dismiss people as stupid, not bright (I thought with Marchegiani's credentials you'd have at least accepted he probably knows more about football, and Italian football in particular, than most), moronic, dim, insane and nuts and won't concede that you were wrong about me not being able to find anything about the situation having been convenient (which, incidentally, was what I said it was, in inverted commas, not a scandal, just convenient) nor bothered to read what I put up in response to you saying I couldn't find anything, I think the conversation has spun it's course. Better to end it here than get deeper into who is stupid, not bright, moronic, dim, insane and nuts...

    .

He said nothing of injuries, stop trying to claim he's on your side here. And I didn't say "he" wasn't bright but pointing towards his medal cabinet as a sign of intelligence or analytical credentials is laughable.

    Anyway what he said was

    "I think they can play

I expected them to take some time, to wait half an hour to see how the conditions were, but I think that in these situations there is also public order that has a prevalence, the outflow of the stadium had to take place in a certain way . They were probably afraid that the situation would get worse and then it became difficult for people to go home. Perhaps there was prudence in this sense. Let's say that snow is a situation a little different from rain and fog ".

His point is agreeing that it was a potential safety issue.

You've pointed towards Juve conspiracies all season but this is by far the most tenuous giving your point is about an injury crisis while they had a really strong squad available to them, it's illogical and doesn't compute at all I'm afraid. My head isn't in the sand of Italian footballing history but there's next to zero basis for conspiracy here.

He said he expected them to wait and see suggesting it was called off too quickly. Laughable that I mentioned his medals and playing history as an indicator that he might know a thing or two about football or laughable that you took my mentioning of those things to be an estimation of his intelligence and analytical skill as opposed to the more obvious that I was pointing to him as an experienced and knowledgeable footballer? If you base all validity of opinion on perceived intelligence though, what do you do when your car breaks down? Look for someone to help in the library at Trinity?

I will admit that Google Translate didn't work too badly on Marchegiani's quote. You're not using it for the other links and pictures I put up though. Or is it just that they are all not very bright and ever so nuts because they don't agree with you?

I never once said it was a big conspiracy theory regarding the weather and Juventus. I simply suggested it was convenient, with a bit of an emphasis on irony. You're the one putting the spin of conspiracy theory on it. I don't have any conspiracy theory relating to Juventus, I am familiar enough with history to know what is a theory and what isn't. Or do you like to pretend that Calciopoli (as the prime of hundreds if not thousands of examples) never happened?

Anyway, I really don't see the benefit to anyone in getting drawn into a slanging match of who is bright and who lacks basic sanity so I'm going to leave it there. Ciao ciao. Clicky.

The game was called off due to the weather concerns. It worked completely against Juventus as Atalanta were fielding their B team due to fixture congestion after just playing a hard game against Dortmund. Go look at Atalanta's intended lineup, Juventus would've been delighted to play

If you can stomach the clueless commentary on Sky Sports, Lazio vs Milan look set to be going to penalties in around 10 minutes.

kinda a good result for Inter that the game went to over time.

legs could be a bit heavy on Sunday for Milan.

    Brilliant result for Milan.

    What a turn around.

After going to pens in the semi I'm relieved to go through.
Romagnoli doing the business again. Thought we lost it when Kalanic or as the nimrod commentator called him Rakitic missed the chance late on. He & Andre Silva have added very little in this run.

I know what their line-up was thanks. That's another thing that's been given out about a lot in Italy in the last few days. The fact that Gasperini, a Juventino, put out a load of reserve players; Napoli fans not at all happy about it.

Doubt it. Seriously, with the money Juventus have now who can seriously compete with them? Serie A has become a glorified version of the Bundesliga or Ligue 1 with one team having won the league in August every year.

Serie A needs some Arab money to dethrone Juventus

Juve hardly break the bank every year. They are extremely smart in their signings and generally get quite good bargains compared to premier league clubs. AC Milan spent close to 200 million last summer, problem was they spent it on rubbish.

What about the big clubs with the big Chinese money? People like Cairo etc need a kick in the bum and stop expecting everything handed to them. Or Inter, who think the only reason they are not every champion is because someone else.

Napoli throwing a lot of hands in the air in frustration & not playing as well since Roma equalised.
Not looking good for the comeback :/

Milan went on a stupid splurge. The only thing that stands to them is that they probably didn't blow the entire amount on garbage and that's coming back to the brim now. If Gattuso is kept on I would expect them to be solid Champions League place competitors next season and they can potentially build from there. Montella had no big club experience and struggled to motivate players because of it. Gattuso has it coming out of his ears and no-one better to teach the current Milan squad what the Milan jersey means. The problem is, after such a splurge, they're basically broke now so how long their building can last is anyone's guess.

Juventus aren't spending stupid money on players but they are living within their means and are still able to buy top players, players the others can't get near, Higuain being an example. They are massing up huge points totals each year which means they can't be competed with. Couple in with that the usual favours (worth anything between 5 to 10 points a season) and its clear that they aren't going to be challenged.

In all honesty, I really believe the death knell is sounding for Italian football because, with attendance already terrible, who is going to pay to watch a league which is already decided in August? The only reason attendances are up this year is because Inter and Milan have seen an upturn in support (as an Interista I'd seriously ask why anyone wants to pay in to watch these idiots turn out every week - though I'm going next week so maybe I should ask myself); the rest of the league is dying. Probably better off to do so if this is the story from now on in.

    Huge half for Napoli.

This year is the chance to win Serie the team will disband in the summer.

It has been like this with Napoli the last three years. If they had balls they would be defending as champions, and winning again this year.

    Nice hair, though

Would you even tell us who you support instead of just having a go at everyone else's (well, Inter) team? Though I guess having a pop at Cairo and Inter in the same post makes it pretty clear...

Napoli in a bit of trouble, they don't look very convincing.

I actually see Roma getting something on the break.
