The outsourced roles are for prisoner transport usually. CDOs are now police staff

So taking detainees to hospital etc instead of tying up crews? And taking them to prison if remanded?

😠ive never completed a situational judgment test before. Will it be devised specifically for the role of call handler or be similar to the generic type ones online?

Call handlers and CDOs are equivalent to AOs and Dispatchers to EO2 so the test will be slightly varied to reflect this.

Sup guys, long time no speak! For those call handler wannabe’s like me, the test looks like it is live now

Okkkk so who is reeaalllllly fed up waiting....on reflection perhaps it wasn't the best idea to have 3 roles advertised and closing on the same day!

As there was no competency based questions on the applications the sift will just be based on do you have the qualifications or not.

Then online testing Verbal reason (TFCT) and SJTs. Scored.

Then the interviews will be competency based. Scored. Against a threshold.

    Each competency answer will be scored im a similar manner to the following;

1 Not Demonstrated No positive evidence of the competency
2 Minimal Demonstration Limited positive evidence of the competency
3 Moderate Demonstration Moderate positive evidence of the competency
4 Acceptable Demonstration Adequate positive evidence of the competency
5 Good Demonstration Substantial positive evidence of the competency
6 Strong Demonstration Substantial, positive evidence of the competency and includes some evidence of exceeding expectations
7 Outstanding Demonstration Evidence provided wholly exceeds expectation at this level

I wouldnt get your hopes up, yes the civil service is a much bigger organisation yet my yest results came out in July 2016 and I didnt get an interview until March 2017... Yet scored 84%....

Public sector is sloooooow when it comes to admin, like i said turn off in the interim go do fun things, look at those jobs etc

    No news is good news

One positive is that they are looking to start a CH course soon as some of the people already in the role will be going to a dispatch course in the near future so they will want to fill the places.

Good Luck to anyone who applied!!

I reckon money is the key factor in why this is taking time, I work in the public sector and because of the absent government Departments are afraid to commit resources in case they lose that money forever.

So we will see what a direct rule justice minister from the NIO gives the PSNI...

Maybe some of that billion quid could float this way 😂😂😂
